Great book and superb narration! The author is truly brilliant. A few times I felt that there is an exaggeration, but in general, it was clear that he is trying to be objective. I felt that his story unfolded in the best tradition "an honest tale speeds best being plainly told". I did not notice the moment when I realized that the story is a truly harrowing drama. I knew that the Jews have endured millenniums of persecution, but it did not even come to my mind that persecution was so cruel and repeated so many times.
I feel enriched immensely by listening this book.
The authors are giving unexpected point of view, but most of their theories are total crap.
I was curious why it was rated so high. Written for kindergarten level, I did not learn anything new.
This book is simply not smart. The author is a left radical. I could not finish it.
I bought this audio book because I like the narrator and just wanted to use this book to practice English pronunciation. I expected that the content will be boring repetition of mundane facts and there will be a bizarre theory to make mediocre readers comfortable that talent is not necessary. To my surprise, the author managed to give a very balanced view on the problem. There are a lot of nuances and I believe he got it right, deliberate practice for long periods of time is the key to success. So, I enjoyed listening this audiobook and find it to be insightful. Thanks!
