This story isn't really unexpected if you read "On Dublin Street" but still loved hearing it. You get to know Adam better and fall in love with him. Although another narrator, she was still great.
First, I liked the length which didn't drag so that was good so you get your money's worth. Second, even though the subject matters were serious and nothing to joke about, the writer had a way of adding a little humor which drew you in, pulled heartstrings and made the characters so lovable. Charlie is a celebrity that is continually making poor choices ruining his reputation in the industry and Kate grew up in foster care with abusive relationships. They met by both attempting to swim out to sea to commit suicide but bumped into each other out in the water and from there the relationship started. They brought out the best in each other and they began to heal. It's an odd mixture of deep and humor. Charlie is pitiful and adorable and Kate is sweet and kind and somehow it works. I thought it was totally worth the credit.
This story started out good, dragged through the middle then got really good at the end so even though it got a little irritating in the middle I find myself looking forward to book 2. It's about a couple who carries on with a long distance relationship for several years and how they make it work. At times I got irritated with the F because she talked about how much she loved M but didn't seem to act like it until the end and the M talked about it so much he got a little whiny.
The narrators did an ok job. Female better than male. I can't decide if the male character in the book was a little wimpy at times or if it was just the male narrator. Sorry, Blake. Always need a strong male in any romance book. It's a rule!
In the end, it still held my attention and I am looking forward to book 2. Go figure!
This book is sooooo good. Glad I took a chance because I couldn't put it down. It doesn't set up as a mystery at first but you know things don't add up so you feel like you are kind of sitting on the edge waiting for the ball to drop but at the same time you are so wrapped up in the romance and its soooo good. River Wilde is YUMMY!!!! Veronica Meunch reads the first half and Christian Fox reads the second half and they both are amazing. FYI-cliffhanger which is a total drag!! I really hope the second book is available soon and the same narrators read!!!
This was the worst in the series and the worst in general. I waited thinking it would be the best but I was wrong. Too predictable! Unrealistic! No imagination at all. Seriously???
I really liked the first two books in this series but this one lost it's steam. Never saw much of a relationship develop between h/h. It just kind of happened. I liked all the characters but it just lacked a little luster. It's a decent listen but not one I couldn't put down. Meh....
Narrator did a good job, tho.
Probably more of a 4.5 for me. I loved this book even more than the first one in series. This had a little more depth than book 1 and some humor and some really hot scenes but still a lighthearted fun story. Chad is pretty humorous with his huge ego and was often kept in check by various characters. Made him kind of lovable. Still had room for some depth in this book but that's always better than beating the same issue over and over and over. I enjoyed it and will definitely be getting book 3.
As always, Kaleo Griffith is AWESOME!!! I love his mail character narration!
This is the next book after Ten Tiny Breaths. Takes place in a completely different setting so it changes things up a bit with a college setting. Livy goes to Princeton and struggles with relationships between two different guys, the one she should be with and the one she wants to be with. It keeps you hanging on to see what is going to happen next. I thought this one was really good. Had some humor and of course some drama as the YA stories do. Hard to put down for sure. Worth the credit.
I am a little too old for the YA books but this was still good. I was totally involved and loved the characters. Although not shown, there is a male narrator for the male character. Both narrators are great which always makes the story just that much better. The story was fun with some drama and I couldn't stop listening. Typical in some ways with the new YA craze but still worth it if you have liked them in the past.
I guess this was a reissue from books past and this is the first in the series according to its preface at the beginning of the audio. It was a cute fun story. Entertaining with some comical parts. Very sweet as well. The price is good for the length so I enjoyed it. Narration was okay as well. Worth the price.
