In this rollicking tale, best-selling author Dixie Cash - author of My Heart May Be Broken but My Hair Still Looks Great - sets Salt Lick's own sleuthing cosmetologists on a collision course with the Big Apple. On an all-expenses-paid trip to a New York PI convention, the Texas Tornadoes hope to do some serious shopping. But that's before they stumble across a serial killer.

    "Cash is a winner"

I loved listening to this audio book, since the narrator has a genuine sounding Texas twang, just the accent I grew up with and hear every day. These two gals really do a bang-up job solving a mystery.

Recipe for disaster: Celebrity chef Stanley Chipotle comes to Trenton to participate in a barbecue cook-off and loses his head - literally. Throw in some spice: Bail bonds office worker Lula is witness to the crime, and the only one she'll talk to is Trenton cop, Joe Morelli. Pump up the heat: Chipotle's sponsor is offering a million-dollar reward to anyone who can provide information leading to the capture of the killers.

    Marsha says: "Blah blah blah"
    "Finger Lickin' Good"

As always, Stephanie Plum gets herself in a few sticky situations and keeps me laughing along with the mystery she solves.

Seven-year-old Autumn Backman has a gift: she can communicate telepathically with others. Not everyone, mind you, but with a select few with whom she shares a special kinship. When Autumn and her mother, Joanna, take her father's ashes to be buried in the family plot in Brickers Bowl, Georgia, she witnesses a horrifying sight: her grandmother and two uncles, burying a pile of dead bodies in the middle of the night.

Lehua says: "Predictable all the way"
    "Coulter "Knocks Out" another hit"
    Overall

As usual, Catherine Coulter has written another great FBI thriller. I can't wait for the next one in the series.

Award-winning author Craig Johnson's critically acclaimed debut Western mystery takes listeners to the breathtaking mountains of Wyoming for a tale of cold-blooded vengeance. Four high-school boys were given suspended sentences for raping a Cheyenne girl. Now, two of the boys have been killed, and only Sheriff Walt Longmire can keep the other two safe.

Dataman says: "Not Your Ordinary Western Novel (Series)"
    "Love this author"
    Overall

Craig Johnson is among my favorite authors now. I will continue buying his books. I like George Guidall's take on the characters. They seem almost real-very much like the cowboys I grew up with.
