Second along with the other two in the series.
Hard to choose. Eveline or Graeme. I can't pick between them. Eveline is so strong and stubborn but loyal to Graeme and the clan. I couldn't help but laugh everytime she defied her husband. Graeme is a strong Laird and is so gentle with Eveline even though he and everyone else including her family believe her daft. Because he's so kind to her he quickly learns things about her that even her family doesn't know and protects her fiercly. He is a woman's dream.
The personality of each character and the accents of each. It takes you into the book as if you are there within the clan experiencing everything that is happening.
YES!!! I listened to it until almost 5am the first night!
I can't wait for more Highland books from this author!
Listening to both voices really increased the intensity, especially with Jonathan Cole's British accent. I didn't want the book to end. It's one thing for the woman to be reading in a deeper voice as the man in addition to the female part, but to have a man reading as himself, that really increased the intensity. I hope to hear more of this in coming books!
It was too rushed in the beginning to get the relationship started.
I would have had Gabe being more seductive and having more detail of his seducing Mia in the beginning. It was great at the first party on the patio, then it like fast forwards to a contract. I felt like I got whiplash! Make me lust over Gabe.
I had to get past the boring and monotone voice in the beginning. It was a bit strange hearing a male voice reading and never changing tones. Perhaps that had something to do with why I never really got into the book until the storyline picked up close to the middle to end of the book.
It was an ok book. Once you got past the first couple of chapters it picks up but at first it's kind of slow. The ending was very exciting and made me want to keep listening.
