The Used World Emporium is the sprawling antique store where Hazel, Claudia, and Rebekah pass their days surrounded by dusty furniture, cast-off clothes, and ancient housewares. But with the unexpected arrival of two babies and the unfolding of not one but three love stories, each spanning generations, their formerly used world becomes new again.

    "Unique confusion"
    Overall

This author skips back and forth in time in a rather confusing manner (you really have to go a few minutes before you know who is speaking and in what time frame). Despite this, the character development is very good. These women are all flawed and this makes them realistic. I recommend for a different kind of read.

All the clues suggest the killer comes from close to home, but after five marriages and nine children, that still leaves the field wide open. When he find his own life in danger, Pembroke entrusts his safety to his estranged son, Ian, an amateur jockey; and through him discovers a compulsive new outlet for his financial expertise.

    "Francis at his best"
    Overall

If you like action-adventure, Francis never let's you down. This is one of his best, allowing you to keep suspended and really identify with the hero's most frightening events. Take this one for a whirl!

For 35 years, Frankie, Linda, Kath, Brett, and Ally have met every Wednesday at the park near their homes in Palo Alto, California. Defined when they first meet by what their husbands do, the young homemakers and mothers are far removed from the Summer of Love that has enveloped most of the Bay Area in 1967.

    "Disappointing"
    Overall

This book is not very engaging. She has used a standard format of a group of friends, all fitting standard stereotypes and not developed the characters beyond that. Formula book.
