It began to get old when the hero always had to be right. He suggested that people who stuck to their beliefs, like he did, had to be wrong for doing so.

I was born in N Indiana, and moved when I was 7. I often wondered why my parents were the way they were. I understand them better now. BBs do not always hit the eye. I do remember wearing knickers on the way to school.

I liked the story, I should have read it 50 years ago. I didn't because I got tired of all of the words. They are one of the reasons I didn't. I have found that listing to this kind of book is an enjoy able experience.

The book was a turn pager but the hero is not to believable at times. When you don't looose a step after 3 bullet wounds a lot of the realism rubs off. I also asked why an unwounded women who grew up on water in Miami and rode paddle boards couldn't pilot a boat to the oil rig. I guess capable women don't equal a macho man.

Another well written and researched book. The characters were believable, I thought some might have been relatives of mine. I was young during WW II but the book matched my memory of the events.

We seem to come up good reasons to start wars then decide that loosing is better than stopping. The people who make money don't want to stop. If the cost is hidden many like to ride on the wagon.Victims seem to be the the only real loosers.

I had a hard time following the story at the beginning but things began to fall into place after I got into the book.

Keeps you moving on walks, makes the time fly and gets you out when walking is not what you want to do. The Fargo's almost reach the status of super heros.

When you think you are on track the story takes a turn. Reacher has his own way of dealing with bad guys.

It was interesting but did not seem to move along as fast as I thought it should. I thought the description of the time was accurate and believable,
