"Wonderful!"
This is one of my favorite SEP books. It is witty and charming and great fun to listen to. The prequel to "Lady Be Good" is "Fancy Pants," which is not as good, but I think you'll enjoy reading them in order.
"This is Book 5 of the Drake Sisters Series"
The Drake Sisters series is most enjoyable if you can listen to the books in the order they were written.
Book #1 = Magic in the Wind;
Book #2 = Twilight Before Christmas;
Book #3 = Oceans of Fire;
Book #4 = Dangerous Tides;
Book #5 = Safe Harbor;
Book #6 = Turbulent Sea;
Book #7 = Hidden Currents.
"Start with Book 2 and skip Book 1"
My advice is to skip Book 1 in this series and start with Book 2 instead. You really won't miss that much and Book 1 is a bit weak and juvenile. But Book 2 will get you hooked and then you'll love the entire series. Great narrator too.
"Fantastic!"
I'm an adult and I loved this book. Can't wait to listen to the rest of the series. If you like the Twilight books, you'll like these too.
"Pretty silly"
Not one of Carly Phillips best. The dialog was pretty embarrassing.
"A little slow"
I enjoy Susan Wiggs' books, but I found this book to be a little slow. Great characters, but not much plot. It just sort of ambled along.
"Light and Easy"
This was my first book by the author and I will definitely listen to more. The book went by quickly and I enjoyed it very much.
"Closer to erotica than romance"
This book is closer to erotica than romance, but if you are okay with that, then you'll love this book. It is well-written and well-narrated, with likable characters and a fast moving plot -- the plot being, of course, sex sex sex.
"A nice, easy-to-listen-to romance book"
If you like romance books, you'll probably like this well-written and well-narrated series. The plot doesn't move along that quickly, but the characters are well developed and likable. I've never read a Susan Wiggs book that I didn't like. This is the first book in the Willow Lake series so start here.
"Great romance series"
If you like light and easy romance, then I think you'll like this series. Although each book is complete and not dependent on each other, I would suggest reading them in the order they were written. Start with "Sugar Daddy," then "Blue-Eyed Devil," then "Smooth Taking Stranger." I would have given this book 5 stars, but the narrator just wasn't as good as the first book. But after a few minutes I adjusted to her 5-pack-a-day smoker's voice and it didn't bother me so much and I was able to enjoy the book.
