"Tremendously fun"
A tremendously fun read. I'm a pretty big fan of comic book mythos and cliches, and the author definatly touches on most of them, while playing with the standard themes.
Well written, with a good plot, though the character development is what you'd expect out of a 6'6" female cyborg, or a mad scientist.
"Good Book, Flawed by Repition"
I thought this was a good book that should have been about half the length that it actually was. It's too bad no abridged version is available. I agreed with the author's ideas, but about 3 hours in, I really felt that he was repeating himself unnecessarily.
"One of the best business books out there"
This book, along with Innovator's Dilemma, are in my pantheon of great business book. Solid rules to follow in developing your brand, as well as concrete examples backing up the author's assertions.
As an audiobook, it's short and pithy. I love this book. Just a few days ago, listening to it gave me an idea for a new product.
"Wow"
Ricks wears his biases on his sleeve, and this is on occasion annoying, but there are facts galore about the conduct of the war, and he hammers them home over and over until you're forced to concede the rightness of his cause.
"When will I learn?"
When will I learn to not buy language stuff from Audible? This book assumes that you'll have the printed guidebook that comes with this title on hand for review. Of course, you don't get access to this guidebook when you download the book. Nor can you download it anywhere. Not recommended.
"Unspeakably Bad"
No original or interesting ideas, as well as poor reading by the authors, make this one of the worst audiobooks I've ever bought. Really, really bad. Don't get this book.
"Some interesting ideas but many factual errors"
While several of the ideas presented in this book are both plausible and novel, when I noticed the sixth gross factual error, I began to doubt the entire book. After all, if I spotted that many, how many had I missed? It's too bad - it could have been a great book. Instead, it's frustrating and uneven.
