From the publisher of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies comes a new tale of romance, heartbreak, and tentacled mayhem. Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters expands the original text of the beloved Jane Austen novel with all-new scenes of giant lobsters, rampaging octopi, two-headed sea serpents, and other biological monstrosities.

Kat says: "I wish they'd turn this into a movie!"
    "A dissapointing second"
    Overall

After listening to Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, I expected the same kind of magic from this book. I couldn't get into it, and whether it is the fault of Austen, Winters, or me, I am not sure. It wasn't nearly as captivating as I had hoped it to be, and I think the sea monsters were too forced upon the reader in this novel, as opposed to the zombies in P&P&Z.

"It is a truth universally acknowledged that a zombie in possession of brains must be in want of more brains." So begins Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, an expanded edition of the beloved Jane Austen novel featuring all-new scenes of bone-crunching zombie mayhem.

Katelyn says: "One word - Awesome!"
    "Lizzie Bennet is still fascinating"
    Overall

To the people who may view this and the sister books as a perversion of Jane Austen's original, feminine books: you are missing out on a treat. This book was smart, witty, fresh, and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it on the bus ride to and from Baltimore from New York. The blending of classical English culture and sentiment and the Oriental sword bloodshed and zombie onslaught was perfect, and fully supported the development of Darcy and Lizzie's romance instead of distracting from it. P&P is still one of the greatest love stories ever told, this is just a kick-butt version for the more modern, empowered woman. Oh, men can appreciate the Zombies too.
