Emma Bannon, forensic sorceress in the service of the Empire, has a mission: to protect Archibald Clare, a failed, unregistered mentath. His skills of deduction are legendary, and her own sorcery is not inconsiderable. It doesn't help much that they barely tolerate each other, or that Bannon's Shield, Mikal, might just be a traitor himself. Or that the conspiracy killing registered mentaths and sorcerers alike will just as likely kill them as seduce them into treachery toward their Queen.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I have listened to other books by this author-but this is a new category for me. It didnt hold my attention. If you like steampunk you may enjoy it, I personally didnt.

What three words best describe Moira Quirk’s voice?

    Does the accents well

Did The Iron Wyrm Affair inspire you to do anything?

I will try something else new.

Niall, Prince of Homana, key player in a prophecy that spans generations, should have been the treasured link between Cheysuli and Homanan. Yet neither of the peoples he is destined to someday rule feel anything but suspicion of Niall. Homanans fear him for his Cheysuli heritage, while Cheysuli refuse to accept him as their own because he has acquired neither a lir-shape nor the lir companion which is the true mark of the Cheysuli shapechangers. And now, despite his precarious situation within the kingdom, Niall must undertake a journey to fulfill yet another link in the ancient prophecy.

Would you try another book from Jennifer Roberson and/or Bronson Pinchot?

I read the entire series years ago and was happy to see them released as audio books.

What other book might you compare Track of the White Wolf to and why?

    Other books in the series

How could the performance have been better?

I hated the accent that the narrator used for the story, I found it distracted from the story which is why I gave the performance 2 stars.

Where does Miracle rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    In the middle

What did you like best about this story?

A true romance- after many obstacles and heartaches the couple end up together

What aspect of Deanna Moffitt’s performance would you have changed?

In the book the female lead has a very distinctive voice. The performer was being true to the story but I found the character's voice annoying. The read would have been more enjoyable if she had toned it down some.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

it has some heartaches in it
