  • Extraction

    • UNABRIDGED (1 hr and 7 mins)
    • By Douglas Preston, Lincoln Child
    • Narrated By Rene Auberjonois
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

From number-one New York Times best-selling authors Preston & Child, an all-new short story featuring Agent Pendergast, available only as an ebook and audio download. In New Orleans' French Quarter, the Tooth Fairy isn't a benevolent sprite who slips money under your pillow at night.... He's a mysterious old recluse who must be appeased with teeth - lest he extract retribution. When young Diogenes Pendergast loses a tooth, however, his skeptical older brother Aloysius is determined to put the legend to the test...with dire consequences.

Janels says: "Great Pendergast short story, don't use a credit"
    "Another excellent story..."
What did you love best about Extraction?

As always, Preston and Child gave us another excellent story and Rene Auberjonois a perfect read.

    • UNABRIDGED (11 hrs and 31 mins)
    • By Guillermo Del Toro, Chuck Hogan
    • Narrated By Daniel Oreskes
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Last week they invaded Manhattan. This week they will destroy the world. The vampiric virus unleashed in The Strain has taken over New York City. It is spreading and soon will envelop the globe. Amid the chaos, Eph Goodweather - head of the Centers for Disease Control's team - leads a band out to stop these bloodthirsty monsters. But it may be too late.

James says: "The Bar is Raised"
    "Awesome second part!!!"

I really enjoyed the narration by Daniel Oreskes. I found that his style is pretty similar to Ron Perlman so it was an easy transition. If you liked the first book, you will definitely enjoy part 2!!!
This version of vampires would make a snack out of the Twilight vampires!!!

  • Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs)
    • By Anthony Bourdain
    • Narrated By Anthony Bourdain

Last summer, The New Yorker published chef Anthony Bourdain's shocking, "Don't Eat Before Reading This." Now, the author uses the same "take-no-prisoners" attitude in his deliciously funny and shockingly delectable audiobook, sure to delight gourmands and philistines alike.

    Holly says: "Kitchen Confidential"
    "Anthony Bourdain Awesome!!!"

If you enjoy Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations than this book is for you. It tells you about his coming up and adventures in the cooking world.

  • The Passage: The Passage Trilogy, Book 1

    • UNABRIDGED (36 hrs and 52 mins)
    • By Justin Cronin
    • Narrated By Scott Brick, Adenrele Ojo, Abby Craden
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

First, the unthinkable: a security breach at a secret U.S. government facility unleashes the monstrous product of a chilling military experiment. Then, the unspeakable: a night of chaos and carnage gives way to sunrise on a nation, and ultimately a world, forever altered. All that remains for the stunned survivors is the long fight ahead and a future ruled by fear—of darkness, of death, of a fate far worse.

Nicole says: "You love it or you hate it..."
    "Awesome book!!!"

I read the mixed reviews to this book and still gave it a shot. I'm glad I did.

Scott Brick and the other 2 readers did an excellent job. I have a job that allows me to listen to books all day and still get my work done (I love my job!). This book kept me totally interested from the beginning to the end. No spoilers in my review. I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait for the next ones to come out!!!

  • The Time Traveler's Wife

    • ABRIDGED (12 hrs and 6 mins)
    • By Audrey Niffenegger
    • Narrated By Maggi-Meg Reed, Christopher Burns

Clare and Henry have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was thirty-six. They were married when Clare was twenty-three and Henry was thirty-one. Impossible but true, because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity from his life, past and future.

Herve Bronnimann says: "My Favorite Audiobook so far"
    "A truly GREAT book!!!!"

I have over a 100 books in my library and this is the first review I have ever written. I first purchased this book early last year in the abridged version. This book did something to me that no other book has done before. I was sucked into the story immediately. I eventually listened to the book twice in 3 months. Then, the unabridged version was released and I purchased that one too. I just finished this book...for the fifth time now. Abridged twice and unabridged three times. I know that I will listen to this book again and again. It's just one of those books that makes you care so much for the characters that you want to revisit them like old friends over and over.
