"What a fun story!"
I love Lynsay Sands Argeneau series. The characters are fun and so very entertaining and the stories are captivating and keep you coming back for more.
I liked Greg's reaction to Lissiana's problem. The interaction of the family and how caring and kind they all are.
My favorite scene was when the cousins came up to talk to Greg while he was tied to the bed in Lissiana's room. Their reactions to Greg, their caring way for Lissiana was wonderful.
It definitely made me laugh. The characters are so much fun they make you want to know more and more about them.
This is a great series and I would recommend it to anyone who really enjoys a fun and enjoyable story with awesome characters.
"I really enjoy this series!"
I love the characters and how they play off each other. How they bring out a rich and exciting story, keeping your interest and wanting to know more about them.
The Love At Stake series is great. The characters, the emotions they show, the fascinating story all pull you into their lives and make you care and want to know more about them. Plus you get to hear more about the others that continues to fill in their characters, making them more real and intersting.
Yes as I enjoyed the way each characters was just enough different that I had no problem keeping them separated and knowing who was speaking at any given time. The characters voices were each separate and distinct.
I'm looking forward to getting the rest of this series in audible format.
"Very Good Story"
I read this book a number of years ago and enjoyed it and the others in the series very much. Since I drive around 3 to 4 hours a day going to and from work I love listening to audio books to make the drive more pleasant. I really enjoyed this story but found the narrator's voice just a bit too monotone. It took me awhile to get used to it and eventually the different characters fell into place as it began to sound more natural as the book she progressed.
I enjoyed the way the characters interact. The connection between the main charactes and how the dynamics of their relationship changed over the course of the story. The realization of their feelings when they were facing off against the cruel Gen 1 leader was very good.
It took me awhile to get used to her voice. At the beginning it was very bland, very blah almost as if she was one of those narrators in a documentary who try to keep everything on a even keel. As the story progressed you could sense a change in the tone, more emotion, showing here and there and it got better. I would have really enjoyed hearing much more feeling in the characters.
Not really. I enjoyed it in the hour and a half, two hour sessions but I think with the voice I would have become bored and tuned out if I had tried to listen to it all at once.
The series is good and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a great story with interesting characters and plot line. I intend to get the rest in audio books as finances permit.
"Good Story - Not so good voice"
Yes if only for the story line. I really enjoy the Argeneau series. Unfortunately the narrator just doesn't fit the characters. The male characters are all right but the female characters all sound like bad B-Movie characters. The voices forced, higher than you would expect and kind of like Robin Williams in Mrs. Doubtfire. Not my idea of a pleasant read and definitely not like any of the characters in the books that I've come to enjoy and look forward to seeing more of.
Any of the Argeneau series or even Kerrelyn Sparks vampire series. The characters are well developed and fun to follow. they carry you along with them as the story progresses and make you feel a part of what is going on.
Not sure. I'm not thrilled with his performance on this one but maybe a different story, different characters and it would be all right.
All of Lynsay Sands Argeneau books are excellent reads. I love the characters, strong, funny, interesting and the stories pull you in making you want to see what happens next. I love listening to them in the car on my drives to and from work.
This is a wonderful series and I plan on getting the rest in audio as well.
"Great stories!"
Yes. I really enjoy these stories and the characters in them. Both the Argeneau Series by Lynsay Sands and the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost are excellent stories and the characters you really come to enjoy.
