I have recommended this and many other of the audio books to friends and family I dont have a lot of time for reading but totally enjoy the performance of audio books while driving to and from work as my drive is almost an hour each way. If you enjoy a good love story and a good mystery then this is a great series to listen to.

This story is amazing. I learned so much about the Japanese customs that I never knew from this. As well as a few words of Japanese while listening to it. I enjoyed it so much that I immediately purchased the other James Clavell books available. I have always enjoyed historical novels but this is one that truly amazed me. You have got to read (listen) to it. The narrator does a great job with the different characters voices and keeps the story moving with voice inflection. This is the best thing about audio books. I can read a book while I am driving totally wonderful.

never read the pring version but audio books are always due to the acting put into the reading.

She is great through out the book she has the right tones for each character she is a true actress amazing

It is to Graphic in the sex department the most of the story is about sex, not the story There needs to be more story outside of the sexual scene and what is this authors fascination with sex in the wrong hole???? Just a little too much but the story line was good aside from that.

I have always love stories about the Highlands and you have made a lonely old woman very happy with the escape these books provide from the daily grind and help me be not so lonely

This is a spellbinding book that makes me want to keep driving I listen to it on my way to work and back and I love the highlander I just wish there were still men like this in todays world. Phil Gigante is a great voice for all the characters and makes the story come to life. Thanks both to Karen Phil and Audible for making a lonley woman dream of a better life out there. I helps to take my mind off of the problems I face they take me to another time and place where women are cherished and treated like a woman should be treated. Not where they are taken for granted and used up and then discarded like last weeks garbage to make room for another.

Phil Gigante reads it with all the ferocity that is befitting the Highland Warrior in this book. At first I was not sure I could enjoy a book like this with a man reading but his voices for these characters brings them to life. Phil I hope that you will continue to do these audio books for you have a talent that is only matched by Karen Marie Moning's talent for writing something as spell binding as this. Just a little history for my best friends reaction to this book she listened to the first half and went home and attacked her husband and he now wants her to listen to all of them. Karen you either have a great imagination or a superb lover I would like to have one of them my self the lover that is. Keep up the good work. Thanks Audible for allowing us to listen to these great stories at such a great price.

This is an excellent book. I am just not satisfied with the Narrator She is not as talented with the voice changes like the other books I have listened to. But still is an excellent read.

I have read the Mallory books several times and now am listening to them again Just cant get enough of those Mallory men. I wish they would make some movies from this series. They would be so great but then maybe finding enough men that are as handsome as these men are described might be hard.
