"Loved It"
Hero at large.
I enjoyed the plot as it was a continuation of "Folly" but also stood on it's own. The end did have me a bit concerned!
I enjoyed both the history in Vietnam and the relationship between Allen and Jerry. True family devotion even when the years have gone by.
You are not alone.
I enjoy many of Laurie R King's books, this series was one of them. She brings bravery and vulnerability to the table, often within the same character.
"You Only Live Once"
Typical of Sue Grafton just a fun listen.
One of Sue Grafton's best
She's awesome. I like having the same narrator for each book.
Loved the end was even a bit romantic.
Fun book to listen to, entertaining.
"Bad Lineage"
I enjoy listening to books over reading sometimes.
If they want an easy read.
Shoot out.
Bad Religion.
"Fun and Enjoyable."
Yes, and probably will.
Felt comfortable listening to an "old friend".
Love the characterization and voices. Puts you into the story.
No. Just a fun book.
"As Always"
Possibly. Just to catch some of the phrasing I may have missed.
Kathy and Tom. Doggedly devoted and always there for their friends. Kathy is strong enough to realize when she's wrong and go on.
She has good expression and gives each character their own individual voice.
Binchy is always good. This may not have been my favorite book of hers but she can tell a very real and believable story that keeps the small twists going. I love her character development and real -life stories that are good without gratuitous violence, back stabbing and violation.
"First in Line"
It was mildly entertaining. I was glad to listen to the first in the series and finally understand why the lady became sheriff. The series books I've read and listened to in the past are about the same; mildly entertaining, fairly predictable and just enough of a story to keep you listening.
Glad to finally get the answers since I've read them out of order!
The narrator was good and put a good twist on each character.
Not to run for sheriff!
"Typical Sanford"
Give the characters more depth!
I have read a few and listened to a few. They are typical "no brainer's" that are easy to listen to when doing chores or tasks.
Yes, good narration.
yes as long as you aren't expecting sophistication.
Will continue to listen to his books.
"Fun and Enjoyable."
Chet always makes me giggle out loud! Funny how I can relate to his observations of the human species as well as himself.
Plot was a little twisty but not a real suspense thriller. Just a lot of fun to listen to.
Well, I must say I had a hard time listening to his interpretation of Chet's voice. Having read the previous two books, I had already given Chet a voice of my own and apparently it was very different from Frangione's take. But in the end, I still enjoyed the audio book.
I just love how much Bernie and Chet are a "unit". They trust each other, love each other and are unwaveringly loyal. There is always a point when Chet is in a bind and I get so tense even though I know he will get out of his "jam"!
Always good to read a fun book with dogs!
"Not so good"
Just isn't catching my interest, sympathy
Can't say really. It is too much of the kind of story between lunch time friends. Not really written to catch a readers attention.
Disappointment.
Will try listening to it again one day.
"Typical Cornwell"
Typical "popular novel" reading. Her books aren't as good as they once were. Too bad, too.
No real character development, nothing new.
She can give all her characters their own identity. Would help if the story was more for her to grab onto....
probably wait for DVD
When these authors start generating books at such a fast pace, they are never that great.
