With the enemy in hot pursuit, Jaina Solo is forced to seek haven in the unfriendly Hapes Cluster, where the Jedi are held responsible for a past tragedy - and where the royal family has grim plans for their famous Jedi guest. Even more sinister are the intentions of the Yuuvhan Vong, desperate to capture Jaina for a hideous sacrifice. Grief-stricken and obsessed with revenge, Jaina is blind to these threats and to the overpowering evil dangerously close to consuming her.

While Abraham Lincoln is widely lauded for saving a Union and freeing millions of slaves, his valiant fight against the forces of the undead has remained in the shadows for hundreds of years. That is, until Seth Grahame-Smith stumbled upon The Secret Journal of Abraham Lincoln, and became the first living person to lay eyes on it in more than 140 years.

It is a great story that incorporates actual historical facts neatly woven into the fictional story or Abraham Lincoln.

Lisbeth Salander—the heart of Larsson’s two previous novels—lies in critical condition, a bullet wound to her head, in the intensive care unit of a Swedish city hospital. She’s fighting for her life in more ways than one: if and when she recovers, she’ll be taken back to Stockholm to stand trial for three murders. With the help of her friend, journalist Mikael Blomkvist, she will not only have to prove her innocence, but also identify and denounce those in authority.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

The story was a bell curve, it started slow built in the middle and then ran down hill at the end. If was worth listening to though.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Bugs with guns... hummmm. It could go either way.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Yes the narration was good a kept the past and tension in the story.

Could you see Star Wars being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Oh, I can't wait for some of the Star Wars books to be made into movies. I don't know it a TV series will work over time,... but if GL is willing to try it so am I. The Thrawn Trilogy is a must for the Movies.

This is the remarkable story of the English language; from its beginnings as a minor guttural Germanic dialect to its position today as a truly established global language. The Adventure of English is not only an enthralling story of power, religion, and trade, but also the story of people, and how their lives continue to change the extraordinary language that is English.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Adventure of English to be better than the print version?

I haven't read the print version, but I know this was better. Robert Powell speaks all of the languages and dialects so well ..... they come alive.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I'm a Soldier in Afghanistan. I’ve been on an adventure. No not in Afghanistan, thought the same could be said my stay here. This is “The Adventure of English”, a book that I have undertaken by Melvyn Bragg. Without TV for distraction when I am not exercising or working during my average day from 5 AM until 10 PM I read for recreation. In the 9 months I’ve been here that has taken me through 51 paper books, eBooks and audio books. In the over 5640 pages and 276 hours of listening, few books have been as interesting, entertaining and informative as “The Adventure of English”. If you are a reader, listener or interested in amazing historical stories this book is well worth the cost in money and time. You’ll be surprised at what has gone into creating the language we speak today. PGP

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This was better than a movie or mini series. More detailed and the narrator gets you invested in the characters.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Storm of Swords?

The cave romance scene with John Snow.
