    Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

    It could have been if not for the language. One of the things I look for when choosing a book is the use of swear words, especially the "F" word. I don't like books that have equal amounts of swear words to other words. I want to read/hear a story not the same words again and again. They don't necessarily add anything to the story.


    What could Brad Thor have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

    A swear word here or there is not problematic to me but when it begins to be every other word, I no longer feel the book has a need to be read.


    Have you listened to any of George Guidall’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    No, I was looking forward to more but am concerned about the use of unacceptable words.


    Did State of the Union inspire you to do anything?

    Yes, stop reading it.

    Would you listen to Locked Rooms again? Why?

    Definitely! It is one of those stories that, even though you already know the ending, getting there is part of the fun.


    What does Jenny Sterlin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    The accent is extremely helpful in taking me to the time and place. She is an amazing storyteller.


    Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes but I broke it up in to pieces so I could savor it and not be in a hurry.
