"Enjoyable!"
I love Davina Porter's voice, accent, pronunciation....I will often listen to a book because she is the reader.
"Surprises"
Barbara Rosenblat does an outstanding job narrating this 'light hearted' murder mystery. I love her semi-sarcastic style! The story was not 'corney' although it contained romance, friendship and family love. There were suspenseful scenes and it wasn't easy to figure out the ending! In fact, I didn't figure it out...I had to read it. Quite enjoyable!
"Shallow"
I suppose many people enjoy this type of novel, but the characters seemed undeveloped. The book was "corny". You know, everything was to extremes..."so much". I had to stop listening.
"Great"
As always Sue Grafton pulls you in and keeps you reading. Good plot, great characters. And I love Judy Kaye as a reader. She makes Kinsey's character come alive!
"disappointed"
I would never have guessed this was written by Gilbert Morris. Perhaps it was the reader who ruined the book. His voice would have been great for a murder mystery, but NOT for this....I couldn't even finish the book..
"Candle in the Darkness"
Good book, great author. She develops her characters well and pulls you into the story. She also makes you stop and think about various social and moral issues.
"Enjoyable"
I dearly love reading about Hamish McBeth. The books about him, this included, are interesting, make you think. Even though they are dealing with murder they are not "dark" but light. Hamish is a lovable character as are all the regulars. You invariably feel good at the end of the book. I've listened to nearly all of them.
