Jane Darlington is a genius at physics, but there's one problem she can't solve. She yearns for a child, but wants to spare it the pain of growing up as...well, a nerd. And surely any child of Jane's would be a little too brainy for the playground set. So she sets out to find a special man to father her child, someone without too much gray-matter between his ears: in short, a big, strong dope. Cal Bonner, legendary pro quarterback, seems to fit the bill. But there's something Dr. Jane hasn't counted on.

Richard Coulter is a man who has everything. His beautiful new wife is pregnant, his upstart airline is undercutting the competition and moving from strength to strength, his diversification into the casino business in Macau has been successful, and his fabulous Art Deco house on an Irish cliff top has just been featured in Architectural Digest. But then, for some reason, his ex-wife Rachel doesn’t keep her side of the custody agreement and vanishes off the face of the earth with Richard’s two daughters. Richard hires Killian, a formidable ex-enforcer for the IRA, to track her down before Rachel, a recovering drug addict, harms herself or the girls.

Cheryl says: "Hold on to your seat!!!"

Where does Falling Glass rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's among the top. I love McKinty's characters and the language he uses. He makes the story so compelling.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved Kuillian's relationship with the younger sister. It shows such humanity. That is one of the reasons he is my favorite character.

Have you listened to any of Gerard Doyle’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. This performance is just a great as the others I have listened to. I would listen to anything he does.

    Any additional comments?

    What is with that ending?!!!

  • Saving Ceecee Honeycutt

    • UNABRIDGED (10 hrs and 4 mins)

Laugh-out-loud funny and deeply touching, Beth Hoffman's sparkling debut is, as Kristin Hannah says, "packed full of Southern charm, strong women, wacky humor, and good old-fashioned heart." It is a novel that explores the indomitable strengths of female friendship and gives us the story of a young girl who loses one mother and finds many others.

    Jeanne says: "A Wonderful Listen!"
"I loved every character Cece met."

If you could sum up Saving Ceecee Honeycutt in three words, what would they be?

    Heartwarming story of love.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Saving Ceecee Honeycutt?

The relationship that Cece developed with Odette was what makes this book a gem.

What about Jenna Lamia’s performance did you like?

Her versatility- that she can sound like a child and an adult at the same time. She brought such life to the characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but I couldn't so it was fun to look forward to the time when I would be turning on the ipod!
