I think it could have been more 'fast paced" and definitely had more of a storyline than half the book describing a dog's habits...or is it just me?
While I love the Argeneau Series and was eagerly anticipating this lastest installment; this one, unfortunately, fell a little short. It definitely wasn't as entertaining as most of the other novels.
She definitely could have inflected more emotion in her characters' voices; especially, Anders. His character sounded so monotone.
Maybe a different Narrator.
This book was a truly an entertaining listen! Unexpected love at its finest. Well worth the credit or to just outright buy it. You definitely won't be disappointed.
While I enjoyed the male and female narrator changes, Robert Black's portrayal of Laurelyn's voice leaves a lot to be desired. It sounds real nasally; but, other than that one small criticism, it was an outstanding story. I am eagerly anticipating the next installment, "Beauty from Surrender".
Will's story ranks up there with both Bennett and Max's stories. It was a great hot and steamy listen. I especially liked the short cameo by Sarah's Assistant, George. He threw some nice humor into the package.
While I'm happy for redeemed Player Will, Hanna sometimes frustrated me with her constant doubts of Will's actions when he was only following what she wanted him to do in the first place.
Regardless, it was a entertaining listen. You definitely won't be disappointed.
L D's Cyborg Series is just as good as her Species Series, maybe better! Dawn's character was my favorite. She is definitely a tough cookie. She doesn't take crap from anyone. She gives Iron a "run for his money". The theme of LDs books seem to be, in my opinion, changing preconceived notions on the part of both the Cyborgs and Humans.
This was yet another entertaining listen. I can't wait to listen to the rest of the series.
I love Steel's character in this book. This is definitely an entertaining listen. You won't be disappointed if you are an erotic romance reader/listener.
L D leaves the door open for many storylines with some females as well as male cyborg characters. The narration was excellent.
I'm definitely looking forward to the next installment.
Promising start to a new series by Laurann Dohner. I'm not quite sure if I like the beginning of this series as much as the New Species series; but, I am willing to give the second book, Steel, a chance. It takes a little getting use to this space premise.
I kind of liked Flint in this story. He is again another lead character who simply cuts right to the chase so there is no misinterpretation.
Of course L D doesn't disappoint in the erotic romance department. She is true to form with this one. Mindy Kennedy does a great job narrating the story.
It is a pleasant listen for those who enjoy steamy romances.
Another enjoyable listen. I was anxiously awaiting Tiger's story. He was the one that was so determined not to take a mate in the previous books. The only negative thing I have to say about the book is that I really didn't like Ali Ahn's voice she used for Tiger. It sounded too forced to me; but beside that one thing, it was a good story. Bring on book eight, Obsidian.
This is my second Kristen Ashley book and she is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Her writing is brilliant. You become a part of her stories. I am eagerly anticipating listening to another one of her books. For this one in particular, Shy is the "bomb". Bad Ass to the Bone! He is loyal just as strongly as he loves. It was an added bonus to have some cameos from Mystery Man. Elvira is one of my favorites.
"Babe"...This was a really good book. I was skeptical at first from the title; but, the reviews prompted me to give it a try...and Man, I'm so glad I did. The male lead character, Cade, aka, "Hawk" was true to his character from beginning to end. Even though the story was full of action, it was indeed truly a love story from beginning to end. Listening to how both the lead characters evolved throughout the book was touching. The stories evolving around the supporting characters were pleasant as well.
This is the first Kristen Ashley book that I have listened to. I am eagerly anticipating more great reads from her. Kate Russell did an excellent job narrating.
This book is definitely worth a listen! You won't be disappointed.
I haven't read the print version. I enjoy listening to audio versions.
His plowing down Slade and Tiger when they tried to stop him from seeing Becca.
Her narration was great, as evidenced in previous installments.
If I could have, I would have.
The only criticism I have for this book, which prevented me from giving it 5 stars is at times, Becca's character was very annoying. Talk about how opposites attract....Sometimes, non-communication and assumptions can be heartbreaking.
His loyalty towards his people, even at cost to himself.
The Bar Squabbles/Fights between Justice and Jessie.
Vanessa Chambers does an excellent job with the character voices. Her narration has improved a great deal since the first book.
Most definitely! It kept my attention, which is hard to do, lol.
I'm looking forward to the next installment "Brawn". He only had a small role in this book, but he peaked my interest.
