I think it could have been more 'fast paced" and definitely had more of a storyline than half the book describing a dog's habits...or is it just me?
While I love the Argeneau Series and was eagerly anticipating this lastest installment; this one, unfortunately, fell a little short. It definitely wasn't as entertaining as most of the other novels.
She definitely could have inflected more emotion in her characters' voices; especially, Anders. His character sounded so monotone.
Maybe a different Narrator.
I am fast becoming a fan of Joanna Wylde. The story was well written and entertaining. I know that "property" and "woman" are supposed to be synonymous; but I'm still having a little mind-meld over that one.
The supporting characters were instrumental to the storyline. I'm hoping the next installment will be Em's story.
The reviews drew me in and I'm so glad I took a chance on this book. It was better than I had anticipated. Don't get me wrong, I am still trying to wrap my head around the "Property" jargon; but the overall love story wins out.
I think Stella Bloom did a great job narrating. I'm eagerly anticipating diving into the next installment, "Reaper's Legacy".
Great Love Story! You definitely won't be bored with this listen. Don't get me wrong...there are a few far-fetched moments; like the lead female character not remembering ANYTHING like GETTING MARRIED, but all-and-all, entertaining.
Supporting Characters set the scene for more installments. I will definitely be looking out for the next book on audio.
Definitely the Best of the Series! I enjoyed every minute of the story. It is raw, yet “real”. It was nice to have characters from earlier books make an appearance, especially Alvira. Kristen Ashley is definitely one of my favorite authors and Kate Russell’s narration is outstanding. If you are a fan of the series, this one should be an automatic download.
I swear, this series just keeps getting better and better. I can honestly say that I can’t wait to listen to this story again and again. I’m glad there is finally closure regarding the angst between Nick and Shaya. Although we love to hate her, I think we would all miss Greta if she didn’t make a cameo in each storyline.
Suzanne Wright, as usual, does an excellent job at giving each character’s personality depth. In turn, Jill Redfield brings the stories to life. Dare we hope for spin off stories from Nick’s new pack? One can only hope.
Again, I’m eagerly anticipating the next installment.
While I love the series, this one wasn't one of my favorites. The narrator made the dialog sound like every little thing was a suspense crime waiting to happen.
The new and supporting characters from past stories were a welcomed experience. I'm definitely not going to let this installment deter me from getting the next though. Most of the books are truly entertaining
If you are a fan of the series and need a quick "Argeneau Fix", then listen out of habit rather than expecting a really great story.
I absolutely love the series. I honestly can't wait for the next installment. While I liked all the books in the series, this was my favorite. Being friends first and having that friendship turn into a special kind of love was wonderful to listen to. The supporting characters just made the story that more enjoyable. I really recommend this book. You definitely won't be disappointed.
Outstanding Story! I am truly glad that the Molly & Amanda duo created another outstanding listen. While this installment is a bit more serious than the others in the series, it was non-the-less entertaining. Believe me when I say, you can never go wrong when choosing this author/narrator combination.
The "Love Story" aspect of the book was great; however, Robert Black's portrayal of Laurelyn's voice was awful. Again, it sounds nasally. The emotional rollercoaster that the two lead characters go through is truly touching.
I truly recommend this book. I do suggest reading "Beauty from Pain" first to get the entire experience.
While I love Kristen Ashley's "Dream Man" Series, this was my least favorite one. Only because I caught myself wanting to scream many times at Mara's insecurities and second guessing herself and situations. It was truly frustrating.
Mitch's character was great. I absolutely loved the part when he had a "man-to-man / father-to-son" talk with Billy aka Bud. It was truly touching. All the supporting characters were fantastic. My personal favorite is Alvira. She is a hoot at all times.
I am anticipating listening to Motorcycle Man next.
