"Schindler a Saviour"
The panache and risks that Oscar Schindler took to save as many people as he could from the Nazi concentration camps. His bravado.
How wonderful a human spirit Oscar Schindler was and his contribution to saving lives, albeit small in comparison to the gross atrocities that occurred. He truly is a lion-heart for all that he risked and accomplished.
Oscar - because he is portrayed as a worthwhile human being who was not swayed by the propaganda machine. In essence, he risked his life for the Jewish community. He didn't have to do that, but his compassion for justice was strong.

Great film. Great book. This is the first time I have read a book after having seen the film but I was never disappointed.
"What a Woman"
Have not read print version.
A biography of WWII seen through the eyes of a Jewish woman trying to survive by whatever means she could. Her story was enthralling, her resilience amazing,a great story about the human spirit and what it can endure in times of extreme hardship and always in the face of death.
She portrayed the characters ably so that the reader could easily follow the thread of the story, regardless of what character she read.
Edith of course. Her will to survive is a lesson for all, should they be caught in circumstances as dire as the ones she had to endure. She is an amazing woman who exhibits all the traits of what I believe a true
