enjoyed learning more about the craft of writing a song, and know it will increase my enjoyment in listening to some of my stones favorites. Richards comes across as honest and depicts addictions without self pity or apology. The depth of his love for music and the craft behind it was particularly interesting. A great book for anyone you know who is into music. I agree the narration by Hurley was not good--Depp may have been a bit "over the top" but I found it kept my attention whereas Hurly's narration was too flat and literally could put me to sleep. Book could have used editing, but overall if you like the Stones--Richards takes you on a great ride.

One of those books that makes you feel that are you are in another century and place. A good listen.

This is a powerful book that stays with you. It put me a another time, place and body. One of the most compelling books I have heard in a long time. The narration was excellent and enhanced m experience of the book.

Good story about a young woman in the Civil War period who wants to become a doctor. Interesting details about medical treatments and conditions.

On a human level a remarkable story; on a historical level gives insight into the treatment American POW's by Japanese.

It is a story of an era not just a man. Excellent narration of a compelling story. Gave me a much better context for thinking about where technology has been and more importantly, where it is going.

Hearing the life story of this man, written before he became President is fascinating. Obama reads it extremely well. It gives insight in the forces that shape the man and will shape our times.
