This story by Janet Evanovich is hysterical and well written. Thank you so much for the laughs. After a long day at work laughs are exactly what I needed.
the performance was great sometimes the pause is to long.
Daniel Sharman gave a great performance. You could always hear the distinctions’ between the characters. Sherman was able to bring out all the emotions and the personality of each Character.
The epilog is what brought this story full circle. I was so hurt the way she left Jim at the end of the book, but the Epilog made up for the heartache. Great Ending to a Great Series!
I cried when I thought Jim was dead. I cried when Will finally dies with the people he loved most surrounding him. I was elated when Jim finally gets his life back and can live and love for one mortal lifetime.
If you have read any of the previous books you would not like this one at all. The Story was unfocused and lacked that “SOMETHING” that all of the previous books had.
The story line itself was the biggest disappointment. Mrs. Harris reintroduced characters that were written out nicely in previous books and dulled down the charisma of all the main characters.
As always Johanna Parker did a great job with the material she was given.
I don’t think that Mrs. Harris was ready to write this book. Although it seems like we waited for a long time I would have waiting longer to have something good.
I am not really surprised by the contradiction in this book. If you look back Mrs. Harris does this often. Take a look at Debbie Pelt in one book she was a ware-Lynx in the next she was a ware-Fox I think that she should get a better auditor.
This story seems to be a more erotic version of the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyor. With the expectation of the whole vampire thing the characters are pretty similar to the ones in Meyor’s book. You have a shy sexually inexperienced student (although it is in collage and not high school) with self-esteem issues, who immerses herself in old English romantic literature. You have one corky irresponsible mother with relationship issues. An insignificant step father and a father with bottled up emotional constipation. In walks this extremely wealthy dark stranger to whom she is immediately infatuated with that wants to lavish ridiculously expensive gifts on her. He also reluctantly falls for her but he has this extremely dark secret that she can tell no one about.
I am so fond of this series but I have to agree with the rest of the critics the narrator is the worst. She has no rang or distinctions in her characters. I love to listen to the stories because it leaves my hands free to do other things, but I honestly could not take this.
A well written story of historical details mixed with magic, fairytales and true love in all its glory. Brought to life by one of the best narrators I have had the pleasure of listening to.
