Very well done.
I liked how it had depth to the characters. Like a Camus novel the characters are well developed in a subtle manner but not overdone. The story is subtle enough that is sneaks up on you and before you know it you can't stop listening.
I like the fact that I thought I knew where it was going and the few twists and turns surprised me. I almost never write reviews but I feel strongly enough to explain why I would recommend it.
His narration was excellent. He was able to do a Scottish and Czechoslovakian accent and that added to the authenticity of the story.
No, I listened to it carefully the first time. I rarely listen to a book more than once.
The final story about the raid on the compound.
I have not listened to any of his performances.
Various moments where he was in tense situations. In particular when he was being shot at through the door and the rounds hit the bolt cutters on his back.
Thank you for your service!
Maybe. I listened to it carefully the first time.
Chris Kyle of course
His accent is similar to Kyle's and the listener thinks he is listening to the author.
It was an amazing story of how one person can achieve a goal and succeed against all odds. It was eye opening to hear how he was able to cope with his deployments and personal life. It was nice to hear his honesty and see that he has been successful during and after his military service. Thank you for your service.
The movie was good and that is why I wanted to listen to the book to hear more details.
The least interesting part was the unnecessary 1.5 hour diatribe at the end. It picks up where the movie left off and is just an expounded rambling that was the slow part of the movie.
The narration was good and kept the story going.
I would only see the movie and skip the book.
It was odd to see both in the movie and the book the errors about firearms. The crimes scene took place in 1980. The "Glock" that was recovered from the crime scene did not exist until 1982.
No, once is enough.
A lot of thought was put into this story. It was a bit confusing but it came together in the end.
Good use of voice inflection for different carachters.
If you like PKD and you are open to his unusual concepts than this will be a good fit.
It was very impressive to hear about a similar event told from different perspectives around the world.
It was very unusual to hear about a realistic account from different points of view. Having had some travel experience hearing about different parts of the world was interesting. The author has done his research to make short stories from all parts of the globe sound authentic and plausible.
There were many guest or celebrity narrators. They were well done with regional accents when appropriate.
The downed fighter pilot was very good......with a twist.
Well done stories that are authentic and interesting.
The Bond character of course.
Bond was the major theme in all the short stories. They were interesting and well done.
I would not rename it.
