Sara Walsh is unsure of her own safety. Every day when she leaves her job as a writer, she takes a different route to avoid patterns in her routine that could put her life in jeopardy. Ever since she and her sister were abducted as children, and her sister was murdered, Sara has been forced to live in a paranoid world where a faceless man could be stalking her every move. But this man is no apparition. He¿s real and he¿s obsessed with finding her ¿ and killing her.

    Overall

If you have listened to the abridged version, whether you liked it or not, I urge you to listen to the complete version. There is definitely a reason why this book has earned so many awards. It is incredible, very suspenseful. You will find yourself driving around and around the block because you just don't want to stop listening. Dee has the ability to develop full characters, who question their faith -- asking those things we have all asked and yet rarely are willing to allow people to see or know about us. If you are not a person of faith, or find those of us who are challenging to understand, this book, while being extremely entertaining, will give you a glimpse. Plus, Dee just knows how to tell a great believable story. Having read all of her books -- I await each one and purchase it the minute it comes off the press -- I was thrilled to see it had been made into an audible book. The abridged version was extremely disappointing. I am purchasing this one; I know it will be worth listening to again and again.
