Ensconced in a lovely tropical villa on idyllic Triggerfish Lane, Jim Davenport anticipates the good life to come. But this isn't living -- it's Florida, and the neighborhood is not quite what it seems. It's got overly aggressive Little League parents, drug-free Rastafarians, homicidal hookers, unnatural sex and casual violence. Oh, yes, and there's a psychopathic serial killer-cum-Sunshine-State folklorist named Serge A. Storms living directly across the street.

Janels says: "Excellent Serge--captures Tampa perfectly!"

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A story that was not excessive stupidity and poor humor, line after line, minute and hour after hour. Some quirky humor is appreciated, but not non-stop. It gets boring.

Has Triggerfish Twist turned you off from other books in this genre?

Not the genre, but maybe the author.

What about George K. Wilson’s performance did you like?

    Good inflection, good timing.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I doubt I will think about Tampa the same.

    Any additional comments?

    Not recommended.

Mason "Mace" Perry was a firebrand cop on the D.C. police force until she was kidnapped and framed for a crime. She lost everything-her badge, her career, her freedom-and spent two years in prison. Now she's back on the outside and focused on one mission: to be a cop once more. Her only shot to be a true blue again is to solve a major case on her own, and prove she has the right to wear the uniform.

Stephen says: "No connection to new heroine"
    "Baldacci does it again"
    Overall

Another good solid Baldacci novel. This was an easy "listen"; engaging, entertaining and enough intrigue to keep you going. Not my favorite Baldacci book, but still very good.
