It is one that I would listen to again because there is so much history of what was happening in the "world of others" when I was just a child.
Wild Swans, Mao
yes but she is not my favorite narrator. I have good experience with her in my adult life so I knew what the voice and inflections would be.
I was surprised at how little I had learned in my life about that time in Europe, Especially Chekhovslavia and how difficult that word is to say. I can see why many now have the option to say Chek Republic.
Right at the top
The honest and simple approach to the feelings of this courageous little girl
Excellent performance...Brought you to beleive the sincerity of the author
Wows....What an insight into the functionings of another culture and the struggle for the education they find so essential to their future.
Clever, determined effort
The tenacity of the journalist
I don't think so.
Would have been nice
Of interest to many readers
I have both because I wanted to have visual access to specific areas of the text. I am a listener so do better with audio. I would have to recommend the audio and then you will probably want the printed version.
The Mind and the Brain, The Other Side of Normal, books of that caliber. This was easy to understand and because of the presentation it is instruction and informative as well as very eye opening.I find myself observing people with the introver/extrover evaluator information very accessible. I have not had a problem recalling the information provided by the author.
I felt very comfortable and her presentation was a perfect speed and tone for me. I had time to drink in the concepts of each page and could keep up with the audio. Her voice is beautiful and I felt she completely understood what she was relaying to the listener.
Yes several. The comparison of Oriental and American self presentation, the test and I was very impressed with the amount of research the author had done. I guess the overall message of okness and how we got to the point of accepting, as a society, the extroverts are the most successful. It is so obvious - there is a place to succeed for all types of people - and you do not need to become someone you are not to be successful.
I have listened to this book twice and used my printed copy as reference. I plan to read the entire printed copy in the next month. Thank you for this amazing work of perspective.
The teacher who had so much to deal with in her life and lived it so true to herself
I loved the change they made when the farm hand died
this book is so heartwarming because these characters were able to overcome so much and I loved all the descriptions of the Stage Coach Stop. It held my total focus and it covered a vast array of characters.
This was so well written and many interesting senerios and characters
Of course the four in the series, Charm School which by the way is not available on Audible, Word of Honor,
yes but I did not do that since I was reading the series
Greet Series and I loved the Change of Pace in the last book and showed depth to the Character.
Sometimes when my little people cannot sleep we put an earbud in one ear each and listen together. Even I like to listen over and over
The people seem more real on audio for me
She is fantastic
Oh yes I cried and I laughed and I could not put the book down until all the babies were safely connected.
yes, it is just good clean fun for little girls
I have not listened to these but Valaree goes to bed with this every time she stays at my house.
She giggles sometimes
All of them were so real to me.
the total depth of the situations
The humor and feel level of these stories
I just enjoy reading them and that is what I read novels for and I am always sorry when the books in this series ends.
I hope Coulter keeps this series going or starts a new one as good.
The Presidents Wife
He is one of my favorites and I always give a book a second look when he is the narrator
Not impossible to see this kind of coverup happen.
