This is a journey of both escape and discovery for four exquisitely different women, a month of bliss and privacy for four weary souls. Their refuge on the Italian Riviera provides the perfect backdrop for a story about the search for spiritual harmony within and without.

If you could sum up The Enchanted April in three words, what would they be?

    delightful, surprisingly apt

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Enchanted April?

First morning they woke up at San Salvatore.

Have you listened to any of Nadia May’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes I have. I think she's an excellent reader, and this one is as well.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book always makes me feel good!!! I love the book even more than the movie. It's an old favorite of mine. Never

  • 11-22-63: A Novel

    • UNABRIDGED (30 hrs and 44 mins)
    • By Stephen King
    • Narrated By Craig Wasson

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Kelly says: "I Owe Stephen King An Apology"
    "WAY padded."

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I skipped the third quarter of this book. With no loss. I was very disappointed in King and the reading. Found myself yelling at both:

What do you think your next listen will be?

    American Gods

What didn’t you like about Craig Wasson’s performance?

    Slow drone.

Was 11-22-63 worth the listening time?

I shortened the listening time on purpose.

    Any additional comments?

Would have been a much better book and listen if one quarter had been edited out.

  • Snuff

    • UNABRIDGED (11 hrs and 29 mins)

    Story

Sam Vimes is on a well-deserved holiday. But for the commander of the City Watch, a vacation in the country is anything but relaxing. The balls, the teas, the muck - not to mention all that fresh air and birdsong - are more than a bit taxing on a cynical city-born and -bred copper. Yet a policeman will find a crime anywhere if he decides to look hard enough, and it’s not long before a body is discovered, and Sam - out of his jurisdiction, out of his element, and out of bacon sandwiches (thanks to his well-meaning wife) - must rely on his instincts, guile, and street smarts to see justice done.

    Tim says: "Perfect Pratchett"
"Always a fun read! Though I recommend listening!"

Would you listen to Snuff again? Why?

Yes, I would listen to Snuff again. For pure light hearted escape entertainment! With some fun sarcasm thrown in. NOT fluff!

What does Stephen Briggs bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Briggs is pitch perfect in his characterizations! I thoroughly enjoy listening to him!

    Any additional comments?

    Reliable enjoyment!
