"Pass the Beer and Ammunition"
I have not read the print version of Bitter Brew but there is a great PDF attached to the download for pics and charts.
The Forth is my favorite as he is leaving an incredible path of death and destruction in his wake.
No, but I do plan to listen to his other books in the future.
It was broken into 3 parts, and I finished it in less than a week as I found it very interesting. I think they should make it into a TV mini series.
I live in St. Louis so the book is a must read for people living in the Lou, but people from other places will enjoy the book if they have ever drank a beer or wondered what rich people do when they have no morals or common sense.
"Thanks for ths great Christmas present!"
The stories are told by real people to their loved ones and are quite moving.
None that I know of since these are actual stories as told by the people involved.
Dave was the narrator and introduced each story and in some cases gave an update l. That person's current situation.
The woman suffering from Alzheimer's talking to her husband was very emotional as my mother is suffering from the same disease.
"Great Action and Adventure set in WW II"
I would listen again as the book is fast paced and there are some details I missed in my first listen. I listened almost start to finish in a day.
The 2nd attack on the communication station was very good. You felt like you were there in the action.
I liked that the two narrators switched off so that it had a more realistic feel like a movie.
Several situations where there was torture definitely were upsetting.
"Extremely Interesting book"
I have not purchased a print book in 2 years as I purchase only Audible versions of books.
The account of the attack on Osama Bin Laden's hiding place was riveting. I can't begin to imagine how it would feel to be a part of that event.
Holter Graham's performance was very good as he embodied the enthusiasm and adrenaline that the author experienced on his many missions to the middle east.
The biggest win in the war on terror.
None
"Obama Fans Aren't Going to Like This Book!"
I would definitely listen again as there are some back stories surrounding Obama's closest aids that I found very interesting.
Dick Cheney's memoir has similar stories. This book is about someone on the far opposite to Cheney though.
I felt the narration was very good. His voice was clear and easily understandable.
Valerie Jarrett seems to be a puppet master and works closely with Michelle Obama in making key decisions.
"Grant Does it Again!"
Grant Cardone is one of the best motivational speakers I have heard. His books are like pep rallies which fire you up and make you think of new things which can help you reach your goals. I like this book as much as 10X Rule.
I like that anyone can succeed if they put their heart and soul into what they do.
Yes - Grant has a great delivery and humorous side notes which make the listening experience special.
Yes, however there are assignments which need to be completed so you will need a few days to complete the entire book.
I can't wait for more Grant Cardone audible books!
"Couldn't Stop Listening"
I would listen again as the story Stephanie tells is very fascinating. Unfortunately, her children will pay the price for their father's business choices and his suicide.
The description of Mark Madoff's suicide was chilling.
She seems very honest and her emotions really come through in her story telling.
Yes
I wish Stephanie Madoff well as she raises her children on her own and tries to put this awful tragedy in her past.
"Great Lesson in Greed and Stupidity!"
Despite the complicated jargon, the author really spells out how sub-prime mortgages came into being and why they led to the financial crisis which is still causing the economy to be in turmoil.
The story about the incompetence of the guy who went from being a low level analysis for a ratings company to running a CDO originator who made tens of millions of dollars packaging bad loans. This guy should be in jail!
He does a very good job of delivering the story in a clear and concise manner.
Basically there were just a few people who saw this disaster coming and were able to capitalize on the collapse. Ordinary people who saw the inflated housing prices and easy credit would have found it very difficult to profit from shorting the market. Even funds that had millions in assets found it difficult to purchase the CDS instruments which led to amazing profits for the few who were able to purchase them.
I am now going to purchase the author's 1st book - Liar's Poker - because this one was so good.
"Tucker is an a-hole from start to finish"
Maybe if there was more to the book than just having sex with multiple women and drinking stories.
If they were looking for a break from audiobooks that had some redeeming qualities and just want an escape to the ultimate hedonistic lifestyle. If you need some clever derogatory comments, this is your book.
Yes - Tucker does a good job of telling his story.
Yes, but if it were any longer, I would not have finished it. There are definitely some funny parts.
"Putting Good to Great Principles to Work"
Delivering Happiness and the Steve Jobs biography are my two favorite audiobooks of the 50+ I have listened to the last year.
I liked that Tony reads the book himself and includes
The final scene where Tony is being interviewed for a business class. I am glad he included this recording in the audiobook.
It made me laugh a few times. His misadventures in Kentucky were very funny.
Great book! I hope Tony does another one.
