I had to restart the 1st hr. Trying to keep track of the charaters and the plotline is challenging when EVERY charater sounds exactly the same. Very frustrating, I eventually quit trying. I did purchase at the discounted rate and I still wish I could get my $$$ back. Don't bother.

Loved the 1st audiobook. I could not wait to listen to the second installment in the trilogy. WOW, what a disappointment. The production of "The Strain" was riveting - from the reader to the storyline to the musical accompaniment\sound effects... In fact, I listened to it more than once. Sadly, "The Fall" was a far cry from the 1st installment's quality. I cannot believe that there was such a disparity in value. I actually found myself tuning most of it out. What a terrible reader. Skip it.

Slow moving. What is worse, what could have been a witty style became redundant to the point of being ridiculous. A pretty clever concept, telling a mystery through the eyes of the P.I.'s dog, fell short on its execution. Some of the nuances of the book soon evolved into something as subtle as a ten ton brick. One quarter of the book was comprised of the dog repeating his quirky perspective (i.e. certain smell descriptions, thoughts about is owner\partner, and the like). Skip it, someone else will surely come along and do it better.

This was the first audiobook I have not bothered to finish, I quit roughly an 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. into listening. DON'T waste your time or money. Intriguing concept that was poorly executed.

Predictable. Trite. Clich?. The reader was HORRIBLE and the cheesy music did nothing to improve matters. I was disappointed right from the start and my listening experience never improved.
