Yes. It was an entertaining story, and although I would know the outcome I would enjoy the, "getting there."
Theodore's level of knowledge of the law is believable for a kid who grew up in a courthouse in a small town. Fortunately for him, the judges and clerks are patient and tolerant of him, as he sometimes stretches the envelope of the concept of "unauthorized practice of law!"
Theodore, of course! He is the type of young man I wish I had been at his age!
"Theodore Saves The Girl!"
I hope John Grisham continues the series and follows Theodore into his teen years.
Only if it could be bought cheaply.
David Case has apparently never heard the Japanese language spoken. He falls into the English habit of anglicizing all "foreign" languages. His Japanese accented English sounds Eastern European. He has only two voices, one for the Pilot, and the Japanese and the Portuguese pilot, and the other for the rest of the characters.
Yes. I watched the mini-series many years ago.
It was a story that would make a good novel for adults told in a manner suitable for pre-adolescents without gore and steamy sex scenes.
Theodore is in a similar situation to the Hardy Boys. The Hardys were a family of investigators, and the boys were following their father's footsteps investigating mysteries that came their way. The Boones are a family of lawyers with Theodore using his legal knowledge that he "picked up around the house" to help his friends.
I liked Theodore's familiarity with the courthouse and the staff there. This is the kind of situation that could really occur in small-town America.
"Law school? He's ready NOW!"
There are a few tiny glitches that only an experienced, small-town courtroom lawyer would notice, and I'll bet if John Grisham re-reads his work in a few years he will see them. This is the kind of book that will keep kids reading and books relevant!
