My grandchildren and I have been listening to this book and having a wonderful time. They laugh out loud several times a night. We can't wait to get to the rest of the series. I highly recommend it.
Pretty predictable, but an OK listen. Nothing to get excited about. I miss the Patterson of when he first came on the scene.
First book was a challenge to get through because of the narrator. He is significantly better in this book. The story is enjoyable.
I bought this book before and returned it after listening for a couple of minutes because the narrator was so bad. I bought it again by mistake, but listened longer. The narrator is good when doing the characters; he rushes and is obviously reading to you when reading all other parts. Have patience and the book is enjoyable.
I enjoyed the first book, but this books narrator ruined this one. It was like listening to a text book.
I usually really enjoy Deaver's books, but this one just seemed too long and predictable. I saw the twist coming from fairly early in the book and was disappointed when it was finally revealed.
I have never enjoyed this author, but enjoy the Odd Thomas series so I decided to give him another chance. I guess I chose the wrong book to do so. The book was very predictable and just not worth my time. Thankfully it was short (only 8 hours).
This was a well written book. I just couldn't handle how sad it made me. I don't mind a book that makes me cry, but this one was just way to depressing.
Just plain boring. It was chapter 37 before it got even mildly interesting and that didn't last too long. I agree that the reader was awful. She added nothing to the book although with a plot this bad I am not sure even a good reader could have saved it.
