The book began slowly, but draws you in as the characters are developed. You will be dissapointed that the books ends. The narrator was ideal for the book.
The fact that it is true and read by the author
This book provides an incredible insight into how absolute power corrupts absolutely and the story provides a vivid insight into how this can affect innocent people and how deeply evil humans can become. Robert Mugabe is probably worse than Hitler as personal gratification and greed are mixed in with ambition and evil - a truley despicable human being.
The plot was passable, but the characters were a little superficial and the some of the character development didn't seem to go anywhere. The narrator could have varied accents for the different characters. It was not "an on the edge of your seat" mystery.
