"Story strays from flight path..."
I'm sorry, I just found this story to be rambling. I tried to stick with it because I wanted to hear about the author's trip to heaven, but he took so long to get to it and took so many side trips, I gave up.
"Carol Burnett Unplugged"
One Funny Lady
I loved listening to Carol tell the story of her own funny and amazing life. She has lived her life to the fullest, pursuing and achieving her dreams in a way that most of us only dream of. And while her life hasn't always been easy, her ability to see her with through with humor and dignity makes her. Her talent is unsurpassed, but she comes across as deeply human and not at all a spoiled star. Great life, great story!
"A Ghost Story Grown Ups Will Love"
One of my very favorite audiobooks!
What can I say? You've got to listen to this story! Mystery, ghosts, a smidge of terror and murder, even a little history. A ghost story like no other. You will love it!
"Amazing story about a tough subject"
This is the first audiobook I have ever listened to non-stop from beginning to end!
Kate Rudd did a fabulous job voicing all of the characters, male and female alike.
Because of the subject of this book: teenagers dealing with cancer and life, it could've been a real downer. Instead it was wonderful, very real, making me laugh...and cry at different times.
I'm the mom of a teen cancer survivor, so I guess you could say I've "been there." This book does an amazing job of capturing what it's like for teens who are battling cancer...at a time when they should be feeling immortal, dreaming of their futures, and gaining their independence. It addresses the lonliness, the fear, the HOPE, the courage, the pain, the strength, and the isolation of two teens who just want to live, and maybe even find love. A very real, sometimes funny, sometimes bittersweet story. I loved it!
"A fairy tale mixed with a mystery"
Loved Caroline Lee's narration of this story. Perfect!
I couldn't stop listening to this wonderful story with its twists and turns. A magnificent tale that weaves its way through past and present and mixes fairy tale and mystery together in a magical way. Wonderful character development and descriptive narrative. Great listen! I highly recommend it!
