"Cute but really short"
Yes. I love BP and the narration was lively.
Make it longer
There were only two.
Loved the illustrations. Great little story for a child.
"Long and annoying"
I really like David McCullough and I expected this to be an historical work, but it just seemed to go on and on with too many details. Took me weeks to get through it.
I would have enjoyed it much more if were read by the author. (e.g. 1776)
The narration only added to the slow movement of the book. The narrator paused frequently and made annoying noises that were distracting.
It already has.
I love books about history but this one was not a favorite. I doubt I would try to get through it ever again.
"Comfort food"
This book is squeaky clean and delightful. The whole series is wonderful. I have read these books multiple times and each time find new things to love. The recording makes it really come to life. Mitford is the town I escape to when things get crazy.
"Still doesn't thrill me"
Nope.
I read this when I was young and was bored with it. The performance helped me get through it again but I was still bored. I know a lot of people love these stories - so I tried to like it, really I did.
The performance of all the characters was really quite remarkable. My only complaint would be the annoying little stops and starts in the recording.
I tried. Didn't like that either.
"Perverted sums it up"
Foul language and inappropriate subject material involving children.
Disgust
Won't be buying any of his recordings
"Fun little story - not a classic"
I would probably listen to another book by this author.
I love books that are read by the author because you get the true feeling the author meant to put behind the words.
This was an enjoyable read but not really inline with my belief of the afterlife. Fantasy but pretty clean, moderately scary, and quite entertaining.
"Bill O'Reilly doesn't disappoint"
Way it happened. No conspiracy theories here.
I'll read anything Bill O'Reilly writes and will encourage my kids and grandkids to do so too. He is a fantastic history teacher. Having the book read by the author is an added bonus. Loved it!
"Cute little scare"
I guess if it had been longer.
Sort of a tell-around-the-campfire story. I've also listened to Graveyard and thought it was interesting, although not a classic. I would probably buy another book from this author.
"Love all things Sherlock"
Timeless detective story
A great little Christmas gift from Audible for those of us who love Sherlock Holmes
"Good suggestions for dealing with doctors"
I was pleasantly surprised with this book. No agenda - just a lot of good suggestions.
I enjoyed the fact that there were two narrators so that two different viewpoints were pointed out.
Yes - I did
Recommended for anyone who has health problems that require a lot of interaction with doctors.
