Given the importance of what they do, and the controversies that often surround them, and the violent people they sometimes confront, it is remarkable that in the history of this country only four active federal judges have been murdered. Judge Raymond Fawcett has just become number five.... Nothing is as it seems and everything’s fair game in this wickedly clever new novel from John Grisham, the undisputed master of the legal thriller.

    Any additional comments?

Many of Grisham's novels have seemed to be "auto-penned" of late. I thought this one was the real deal.

  • I Am Pilgrim: A Thriller

An anonymous young woman murdered in a run-down hotel, all identifying characteristics dissolved by acid. A father publicly beheaded in the blistering heat of a Saudi Arabian public square. A notorious Syrian biotech expert found eyeless in a Damascus junkyard. Smoldering human remains on a remote mountainside in Afghanistan. A flawless plot to commit an appalling crime against humanity.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The plot became much to fanciful with many unbelievable holes in the story. I also felt the narrator, while adequate, was entirely wrong for the role of one of the top spies in the world. He'd be much more appropriate for an Elvis Cole book

Would you recommend I Am Pilgrim to your friends? Why or why not?

Maybe. It had it's moments, but on the whole was a disappointment.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    Probably not.
