"A worthwhile Koontz book"
While Koontz can be a little wordy at times, this one was a pleasent surprise. Less rambling, more story, the characters were likeable and the premise of time travel was quite interesting.
"A great listen."
I picked this one because of the great reviews. Nothing about it upon first glance would be something I would typically be drawn to otherwise. Thank you previous reviewers! I'm so glad I gave it a chance because it was an absolute riviting listen. A++++++
"One of my all-time favorites"
I read this book in college and thought I would give it another listen. So glad I did. I loved it even more the second time.
"Best book I've listened to in a decade"
wow! What a great story...well told...well narated. I thought the subject matter was going to make this a really "odd" book but it was such an amazing story and it was so much more than the description suggests. Get it, you won't be disappointed!
"A Brilliant Story Teller"
Maybe I love David Sedaris so much because I can see pieces of my family in his stories. This is life delivered with a brilliant satirical wit. If you are "PC", it's not for you but if you have an appreciation for witty storytelling, go for it!
"Great Book, Irritating Narration"
The story itself was 5 stars but the narration was annoying to say the least. Frank Muller sounds as if he's doing his best overdramatic mockery of bad theater. With over-zealous annunciation and horribly mistimed dramatic pauses, its a good thing the book was gripping. I probably would not have gotten thru it otherwise.
"An Awesome Book"
Loved it. I have no idea how anyone with even an ounce of appreciation for a well written novel wouldn't enjoy Stephen King...period. Even if it was a grocery list, his stories ARE in the details. Duma Key and the The Stand are, by far, my favorites but this one is definitely worth a listen.
