According to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch - the world's only totally reliable guide to the future - the world will end on a Saturday. Next Saturday, in fact. Just after tea...The armies of Good and Evil are amassing, the Four Bikers of the apocalypse are revving up, and everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except that a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon are not particularly looking forward to the coming rapture.

What disappointed you about Good Omens?

There's a particular type of TV programme for young children that consists of adults dressed in bright colours prancing about and making loud, silly noises in the assumption that three year olds will find this funny. If I was three years old I think I'd say to myself, "They're patronising me". This is the adult version. There's more to humour than making silly associations. I like Neil Gaiman's books which is why I tried this but his co-author was clearly in the wrong profession. The narrator, perhaps embarrassed about the shite he's reading and keen to get it over and done with, speaks as if he's in a speed reading contest. It doesn't help. It's still shite.

What was most disappointing about Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman ’s story?

    Terry Pratchett's contribution.

How could the performance have been better?

Neil Gaiman should have written it by himself and also narrated it.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Frustration.
