Yes. It boils everything down to the bare concepts of what it takes to get what you want out of life. Not "5 - 7 easy steps to overnight success" type book but the concrete ideas that perhaps those 'other' books were developed from.
Napoleon HIlls "Outwitting the Devil". They share the concept that being able to focus on the goal is paramount to success. Wattles makes this case succinctly.
I enjoy listening to this one when I feel like I need a reminder about what my goals are.
Edit the book for content suitable for audio. I can listen to theory and ideas... I have to read numbers. The sheer volume of numerical references and statistics made listening to this painful. I will purchase the printed edition as ideas contained here would make it worth the read. When I could bear through the rambling numbers, the end-point was excellent. Couldn't make it through the first couple chapters.
