Lauren is downtown Chicago's youngest elite realtor. She's also a witch. She must be - the fetching spell for Witches' Chat isn't supposed to make mistakes. So says the woman who coded the spell, at least. The tall, dark, and handsome guy sent to assess her is a witch too (and no, that doesn't end the way you might think). What he finds in Lauren will change lives, mess with a perfectly good career, and require lots of ice cream therapy.

To sum it up, the book is filled with warm fluffies. Definitely a chick-book! The book was lighthearted and fun. Discovering that you are a witch really messes with your brain. But again, I loved the book because of the love between the families, especially between parents and their children. I will definitely listen to the second book.

Two nations of the Weird are waging a cold war, and their conflict is about to spill over into the Edge - and Cerise's life. I really like the narrator, she is the perfect voice/voices. This book is full of action, really full of action. I guess that I am a prude, but I do get sick of the F word in all of her books. The variety in this series is interesting, I am anxious to start the next book.

Well, I don't even know what to say. This book has a hilarious wedding scene (think Julia Roberts humor) to scenes that rip your heart out. This book hangs with me thinking "What? No that can't really be true." 2, TWO characters die in this book, it seems that from the first to the last chapter there are twists and turns.

This New York Times best seller is a thrilling account of one of the most pivotal moments in United States history. Six months after the Declaration of Independence, America was nearly defeated. Then on Christmas night, George Washington led his men across the Delaware River to destroy the Hessians at Trenton. A week later Americans held off a counterattack, and in a brilliant tactical move, Washington crept behind the British army to win another victory. The momentum had reversed.

I love history. This book reads like a history text book which is interesting but mostly facts/data. However, I was hoping for a book that gave personal insight into Washington, his life, who he was and the reasons behind his decisions. Thus said, I was fascinated by the history of the painting and the stories behind each countries involvement. I had no idea about the past history of English invasions world wide prior to 1776, very interesting.

Paks sets out on an adventure and there is plenty in this book. This is completely different than the first book. My only complaint is the narrators choice for the elves. This is silly on my part, but they sound like the aliens in the "Galaxy Quest" movie and it grates on my nerves.

I just finished reading all 3 books and I am crazy about the series! One thing that I really appreciated in this book is the friendships within the mercenary troop. The Duke is kind (you will discover why in the 3rd book) and so the troops are very loyal. Paks develops into an amazing fighter due to her drive to practice and improve. This story is full of adventure and fighting to set up the stories that follow in the next 2 books.

Space is a world devoid of the things we need to live and thrive: air, gravity, hot showers, fresh produce, privacy, beer. Space exploration is in some ways an exploration of what it means to be human. How much can a person give up? How much weirdness can they take? What happens to you when you can’t walk for a year? Have sex? Smell flowers? What happens if you vomit in your helmet during a space walk? Is it possible for the human body to survive a bailout at 17,000 miles per hour?

I love non-fiction and this book could not be anymore interesting! We are amateur astronomers but this is not really astronomy related, rather it is about all the research conducted to get man into space. How do humans live, eat, drink, shower/clean, bathroom, live in close spaces with fellow astronauts, and tons more. This is my first book from this author and I am going to listen to all the others.

In this Hugo-winner from Connie Willis, when too many jumps back to 1940 leave 21st century Oxford history student Ned Henry exhausted, a relaxing trip to Victorian England seems the perfect solution. But complexities like recalcitrant rowboats, missing cats, and love at first sight make Ned's holiday anything but restful - to say nothing of the way hideous pieces of Victorian art can jeopardize the entire course of history.

In the future, there is a time-travel company and in this case they travel back in time. Time travel in the first place can be funny, and this book explores it all (except doppelgangers). The story is long, a great deal for 1 credit. This book has the same silly, slapstick humor similar to the old "Arsenic and Old Lace" movie. I can't imagine any other narrator, it would NOT be the same. I am sitting here giggling as I write this review. This is the first Connie Willis book that I have listened to and it will be not be the last. It makes me happy just thinking about it. Good, clean, clever humor without swear words or graphic sex.

Delta Force—the US Army’s most elite top-secret strike force. They dominate the modern battlefield, but you won’t hear about their heroics on CNN. No headlines can reveal their top-secret missions, and no book has ever taken readers inside—until now. Here, a founding member of Delta Force takes us behind the veil of secrecy and into the action to reveal the never-before-told story of First Special Forces Operational Detachment-D (Delta Force).

I love non-fiction and this is amazing, easy to understand and still applies to our times. When watching action movies I roll my eyes at some of the impossible stories, and some are. However, this book tells of the training and the selection methods to pick the "best of the best". True historical events are told and how Delta Force succeeded to accomplish the seemingly impossible. This was written in 2005 and I listened in fascination as I remembered the stories and this book tells "the rest of the story."
