As Clayton grows from a wild child to a clever teen who tests his mentor at every turn, he must learn not only to control his animal instincts but to navigate Pack politics - including showing his brutal archnemesis who the real Alpha is.

Amazon Customer says: "Excellent backstory, but not a prequel"
    "Her best yet"

I am a huge fan of the Otherworld series. This book completely redeemed my faith in Kelley because I felt her last novel (Living With the Dead) was a flop. I understand Clayton now and he has become my favorite character. (Previously, it was Savannah, if that helps any) I wish I read this before Bitten because it gives a huge amount of background to the stories of Elena. It should be listed as a prequel. The narrator was excellent; they couldn't have chosen better. You won't regret using a credit for this book.

Ever since she discovered that she's pregnant, Elena Michaels has been on edge. After all, she's never heard of another living female werewolf, let alone one who's given birth. But thankfully, her expertise is needed to retrieve a stolen letter allegedly written by Jack the Ripper. As a distraction, the job seems simple enough---only the letter contains a portal to Victorian London's underworld, which Elena inadvertently triggers, unleashing a vicious killer and a pair of zombie thugs.

    Samantha says: "Great story..bad narrator"
    "Horrible narration"

I love this series, and I loved this book. That said, I must warn the avid audio book fan that they should stop now and not waste a credit. Listen to the preview; it's awful. I tried listening to this and I lasted about 10 minutes before going to the book store and buying it in paperback. So, continue with the series, but don't torment yourself with the flat reading.

All her life, Ashlyn Darrow has been tormented by voices from the past. To end the nightmare, she has come to Budapest seeking help from men rumored to have supernatural abilities, not knowing she'll be swept into the arms of Maddox, their most dangerous member - a man trapped in a hell of his own.

I thought this book was going to be a classic fantasy vampire novel. I was wrong; It was classic romance. I hate romance novels and therefore was quite annoyed at wasting a credit on this. If you're not looking for romance, look elsewhere. If you're looking for vivid descriptions of the male anatomy this might be your cup of tea.

    "Horrific presentation"

I have never heard a more horrible narrator. He has no gift of language and mispronounces Japanese and Spanish words alike. As someone who speaks both languages, I found it greatly distracting and agitating. He also expresses characters in gutteral voice that mimics a trachaeotomy. He does this for all characters, so it does not descern their gender or nationality. He is unable to keep his speech at a steady cantor, so he sounds almost surprised at times. His narration has done this book a great injustice.

It's a good enough story, but I can't get past the fact that the narration sounds like nails on a chalkboard. If you decide to read it, buy the novel, not the audiobook.
