    Overall

That is how I have to describe Mr. Clarke . . . this kind of eloquence and candor is not something I ever expected to ever witness in politics.

And a HUGE thank you to audible for offering these selections for free. Instead of listening to the news media sound bites, it is so much better to listen to the real deal and judge for yourself.

  • Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right

Finding logical inconsistencies, factual errors, and doublespeak wherever he looks, Al Franken takes on and destroys the myth of liberal bias in the media, hoists the Bush White House on its own rhetorical petard, and punctures the mean-spirited sanctimony of such media darlings as Ann Coulter and Bill O'Reilly. Timely, provocative, unfailingly honest, and always uproarious, Lies is sure to raise hackles and spark hilarity inside the Beltway and from sea to shining sea.

    Overall

I have all of Al Franken's audio books, and this one is by far the best. In addition to taking on a topic that desperately needs to be discussed in this election year, this grammy winning audio book gets better with each listen. I keep coming back to this same book again and again, I have listened to it about 7 times all the way through, something I have not done with any of my other audio books. Highly recommended. THANK YOU AL!

In the spring of 1974, Calliope Stephanides, a student at a girls' school in Grosse Pointe, finds herself drawn to a chain-smoking, strawberry-blonde classmate with a gift for acting. The passion that furtively develops between them - along with Callie's failure to develop physically - leads Callie to suspect that she is not like other girls. In fact, she is not really a girl at all.

    Overall

I loved that this book was wonderful, that it was well read (the Greek grandmother's voice especially) and that it was the unabridged addition . . . giving me hours and hours of top notch entertainment that never got old.
