At exactly 7:30 p.m., Walter Pettibone arrived home to over 100 friends and family shouting, "surprise!" It was his birthday. Although he had known about the planned event for weeks, the real surprise was yet to come. At 8:45 p.m., a woman with emerald eyes and red hair handed him a glass of champagne. One sip of birthday bubbly, and he was dead.

With indifferent parents, Iona Sheehan grew up craving devotion and acceptance. From her maternal grandmother, she learned where to find both: a land of lush forests, dazzling lakes, and centuries-old legends. Ireland. County Mayo, to be exact. Where her ancestors’ blood and magic have flowed through generations - and where her destiny awaits.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This book was very easy to read and keep your interest. I love the story line and can not wait for the next book in the series. The story intertwined the characters really well and not over done. The book was not total sex it had a great story to go with it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I would have to say Iona was she seem to be one of the main character in the book. She handled everything tossed at her with little knowledge of the craft
