"outstanding!"
The Mysterious Affair at Styles was sent as an example of the new whispernet connection with the audio and the kindle version of the book. Of all the many audio books I have listened to, David Suchet's reading performance rates the best of any I have heard, extraordinary delineation among the characters, which kept me both delighted and riveted to the story. Although I checked to see the amazing link between where I was with the audio and the automatic link to the Kindle version of the book, I'd have to say I wanted to stick with the audio given the amazing performance.
The story was great, a typical Agatha Christie with witty, fun character study with twists and turns in the plot line that always kept one guessing
I am looking forward to checking out more of David Suchet's performances
"exceptional book, extraordinary listen"
Water for Elephants is a very engaging, story full of rich characters amidst the Depression focused on a circus environment which gave the story even more color on so many levels
Amidst its overall melancholy nature, the depth of character and relationships came through vividly, making its affect within a Depression centered era all the more felt. Sometimes it was hard to listen to as the emotions felt by the characters were so well expressed through both the writing itself as well as from the actors' performances
These two readers were exceptional, bringing the story even more to life. Their ability to portray a variety of characters was amazing--two among the best I have heard so far
