Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I recommend reading the series from the beginning and I do recommend all of them thus far

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Darkest Surrender?

When Strider and Legion have their final confrontation. It really surprised me.

What about Max Bellmore’s performance did you like?

I think Max Ballmore does a wonderful job with this series, and you always know which character is speaking

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Actually two first when Kaia fights her mother. Then when Kaia has her show down with Juliet.

    Any additional comments?

I love that in between you have small snippets of other story lines like what Paris is up to and trying to do in maybe 4 chapters, also 3 chapters about William. You know up coming books will be about these characters.

In the midst of kinky threesomes and power plays, can Madison work out what she really wants?

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Anyone interested in good erotica, with character development I would recommend this book to. The story line is in the first person Madison want to hire a helper for her book shop, which sells erotic books. She is very sexually active and one fellow Adam is very aggressive, but she really loves that. Another fellow who she hires, Gabriel is very shy and withdrawn. Madison finds that to be a challenge and wants to bring him out of his shell. Over a period of time each of these characters grow and you become involved with who they are and why they are that way. I wasn't sure I'd enjoy, but I really did.

Who was your favorite character and why?

There were many favorite parts, but one of them was when Madison found out that Gabriel was a virgin. There were many more but I don't want to spoil the book

Which character – as performed by Janice Enright – was your favorite?

Madison, since the book is read in first person. But she does do the male voice fairly well and you always know who's speaking.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

"Never judge a book by it's cover."

    Any additional comments?

Surprisingly well written story about characters with flaws, who learn to deal with them and grow to understand that sometimes you have to trust.

What did you love best about The Daylight War?

I can say what I didn't love, this was supposed to be a "TRILOGY" now it's an EPIC like the WHEEL OF TIME.........I only got up to book 11 in the Wheel series because it was just too much. Even after the author Robert Jordon passed away they are still writing more Wheel of Time...... Peter V. Brett please give your readers an idea of when this series will end. Very unfair to do a bait and switch. So many Trilogy's have turned into on going epics that I just can't bother. There are some where each book can be taken individually, and that's ok but like in this one it's like some one just said ok "the end" With another hour could have at least had a little closure until next book which will be another year I'm sure.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Horrible, it was the worst way to end a book leaving reader hanging, and knowing the way Mr Brett writes it will be at least a year or more before the next book is out.

Have you listened to any of Pete Bradbury’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No but if it wasn't for him I don't think I could have gotten past the first part of the book he really is good at emotions and voices

    Any additional comments?

Brett don't do this to your readers. You can't chop off the book and say the end where so many issues are up in the air. You didn't do it in the first two books, why this one. Also why did you go from trilogy to on going epic.......Ugh.

What is it like to be sexually possessed and controlled by a dominant woman? Jessie is the husband of Angie, a successful Manhattan businesswoman who is especially fond of masturbating him whenever she wants, to play with his body as she pleases. Her erotic torments and Jessie's sexual servitude enable them to live a female-led lifestyle. However, the world is full of jealous people. When a challenge to their femdom marriage arises, Angie and Jessie are tested. Will their erotically-charged relationship be strong enough to withstand the threat?

If you could sum up The Masturbator Wife in three words, what would they be?

There is a great amount of love between wife and husband. Even-though she is dominant and he is submissive, they know that they need each other and enjoy each others bodies. They have similar interests and enjoy other things outside of the sexual. However it is very clear that he is submissive to her at all time. That is the way he wants to live his life and she wants to take on the responsibility of controlling the relationship.

What did you like best about this story?

The fact that even with the severe pain inflicted on Jes, it's one of the things he loves about his wife and it makes him love her more. That she gets great pleasure from doing it, and the passion they share for each other is very strong. They want only each other. It is very obvious in what each of them think about.

Have you listened to any of Hollie Jackson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I'm not sure, she did a very good job and it was a very different kind of story of a showing that there is love between dominant and submissive.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, The part were, near the end when this woman who is trying to black mail Jes, goes to Angie's office to tell her off. It's too funny (it's near the end)

    Any additional comments?

I think there was an editing problem that in a few sections sentences were repeated. But it wasn't a big deal. and it didn't really detract from the story. If you're into female dominance, and want to see a different type. check it. out I thought it was really done well.

The ever after, the demonic realm that parallels our own, is shrinking, and if it disappears, so does all magic. It’s up to witch-turned-daywalking-demon Rachel Morgan to fix the ever-after before the fragile balance between magic users and humans fails. Of course, there’s also the small fact that she caused the ley line to rip in the first place, and her life is forfeit unless she can fix it.

What made the experience of listening to Ever After the most enjoyable?

Intense character development, and the fact that Rachel seems to have matured and knows who she is and accepts the good and the bad with that. The fact that Rachel and Trent seem to be working together to make things better. Learning to trust.

What did you like best about this story?

We learn a lot about characters especially Al, and how he really feels, though he can't express it in words that most would like to hear.

    Which scene was your favorite?

There were many, because there are characters who have been in the series for a while who will be lost to us. They were not my favorite but, very moving

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I would end up spoiling but just know that even Al has feeling and it shows in this story. Not all Daemons are equal.

    Any additional comments?

This was one of Kim Harrison's best in this series. There will be another, because it was just left that way at the end that there will be more. Marguerite Gavin, has be awesome at narrating this series. The voices of each character both male and female. Also putting the emotions in each. There was a lot of sub stories in this book, but the bottom line is that Rachel and Trent learned to trust each other. Big step.

Where does Plunder rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of the Hottest erotic novels. About 5 men in their 50's through late 60's who want a young woman to share. Elliot is the go to man, and he gets young college woman who's dating one of his employees. (who doesn't mind that his girl friend is doing this) These men grew up in a time just before the sexual revolution so they are really clueless about a young woman's behavior in the21st century. Eva is a really hot number and uninhibited. She's a flirt and she's shameless. She makes these men feel wonderful.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Plunder?

I think Eva's fashion show strip tease was really hot. There were other moments but the descriptions and reactions of the men were great. STEAMING.

Have you listened to any of Mira Noire and Peter Rawn Klein ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've heard Mira Noire, butnot Peter Rawn Klein. She is always wonderful in erotic stories. Very expressive with no holds bard.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes I did get turned on by some of the descriptions and reactions of the characters. It was a very different kind of erotic story. This is not romance it is sexual erotica, and there are things in here that can be distasteful to some. If you're not turned off by well written erotica. then give it a try I don't think you'll be disappointed.

    Any additional comments?

This was one of the best erotic novels I've listened to on Audible. "Bonds of Trust" and "Bonds of Need" part of a series by Lynda Aicher about the BD/SM community is hot and also very well done told from different angles.

What did you like best about Lord John and the Plague of Zombies? What did you like least?

It was not what I was expecting from Diana Gabaldon, It had the horror paranormal quirkiness. If You're not into zombies, and para-normal you won't like this story. I have enjoyed all of the "Highlander" and "Lord John" series....This is just very different and has is not for everyone who likes Ms Gabaldon's books

What did you like best about this story?

It showed that Ms Gabaldon can stretch her writing to go to the bizarre. I found it really interesting, also how Lord John handled himself under very stressful situations.

What does Jeff Woodman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I think he did the narration very well the accents of the Jamaicans, British, and Scots were done very well. He was also able to express emotion in his voice which is important.

Was Lord John and the Plague of Zombies worth the listening time?

I enjoyed it because I enjoy paranormal, horror, vampire, zombie, werewolf, etc type stories. I love Jim Butcher, Simon Green, C. Harris, etc. great writers of paranormal fantasy.

    Any additional comments?

If you're looking for the dashing romantic Lord John he's still the man but in a very difficult circumstance, and there is sexual innuendo, but not the romantic trysts of other stories. He has a mission to get a problem solved in Jamaica. Solve a murder, and get his soldiers back, from a group who they think are making zombies. There is a twist here and the ultimate bottom line is the British were the ones doing wrong. If you don't like para-normal stay away from this one. otherwise give it a try.

Great collection of erotic and humorous lesbian erotic stories. The narrations were very good as well. Some were really HOT. Even most men would get turned on from these stories.

What other book might you compare Lesbian Cowboys: Erotic Adventures to and why?

None, this is about Lesbian Cowboys, I've never ever heard of any other book like this

Have you listened to any of the narrator’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Many of the narrators were excellent and did the voices and the expressions of emotions really well. There were maybe 2 that I really didn't care for but it didn't interfere with the story.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Some turned me on, or taught me a moral lesson about how things were years ago for lesbians. There was one story that made me laugh out loud "Fancy Pants" I won't tell.

One of the best anthologies of the lesbian genre. I usually enjoy straight erotica, but a friend told me to try this one and I was really pleased.

The edge of the Roman Empire is a volatile place; the tribes of the North dwell near its borders. These hinterlands are the homeland of Gaius Petreius Ruso's slave, Tilla, who has scores of her own to settle there: Her tribespeople, under the leadership of the mysterious Stag Man, are fomenting a rebellion, and her former lover is implicated in the murder of a soldier. Ruso, once again pulled into a murder investigation, is appalled to find that Tilla is still spending time with the prime suspect.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Very much so. If you have listened to or read the SPQR series by John Maddox Roberts and enjoyed you will enjoy this as well. This is more centered around a Roman Doctor Russo who was stationed in Briton. Ends up solving crimes for the empire. He also marries a "Barbarian" Briton woman, but she's really the best thing in his life and he knows it. You have to read this series in order just like any other series or it will not make sense.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I really love both Russo and his wife Tilla. In many ways she makes Russo more earthy and realize what is really important.

Have you listened to any of Simon Vance’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Simon Vance is one of my favorite narrators, when I'm looking at a new book I see who's narrating and since he's in my top ten I usually will take great interest in purchasing. He brings emotions and each character to life.

    Any additional comments?

I think Ruth Downie is has done very well in this series and her research about Rome in
Briton is also very good. If you want to read great novels by great authors on the Roman Empire the three top are Robert Graves, John Maddox Roberts and Ruth Downie. They all have separate areas in their books but all are well researched with time lines and what was happening. I have most of the books by all three authors. I guess that is a major hint that I love historical novels

Julius Caesar, as we know, arrived in Gaul (now France) and announced "I Came, I Saw, I Conquered." But when Decius Metellus arrives from Rome, not seeking military glory but rather avoiding an enemy currently in power, he finds that although the general came and saw, so far, at least, he has far from conquered. The campaign seems at a standstill. Decius' arrival disappoints the great Caesar as well. He has been waiting for promised reinforcements from Rome, an influx of soldiers to restart his invasion. Instead he is presented with one young man ridiculously decked out in military parade finery and short on military skills.

If you love great mystery and story line as well as well researched history of the Roman Empire this series is great. I suggest you start with book on "The Kings Gambit" this way you follow our hero DECIUS from the start. He has had some really bad luck and you will see that Romans make some of our politicians look moral, even noble.

What was one of the most memorable moments of SPQR VI: Nobody Loves a Centurion?

In all of these books it's the last chapter and if I tell you it gives away the main plot, you'll just have to listen. Just when you think you know what is going on there is always a twist. Especially for Decius.

What does John Lee bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

John Lee is one of my favorite narrators, and he never disappoints. The first two book started with another of my favorites Simon Vance, and to tell the truth both narrators are great. You must remember that the story is being told from the point of view Decius is an older man telling stories of his different workings within the Powers that be in the Roman Empire.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It's very hard not to want to do that with all the books in the series because there is always so much going on you want to know what happens next.

    Any additional comments?

This is a great series for some reason books 9 and 10 won't be available but 11,12, & 13 will be in April. I do hope that the other two will be coming soon I hate to read series out of order.

Where does Gwenhwyfar rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

First I'd like to say I have roughly 6 different books on the "King Arthur" Legend. All are different, and in this case the story was taken from a woman's point of view. Many people complain about Anne Flosnick's narrations in many of her books she's narrated. I enjoy her narration and I have over 40 books with her narrating. You should always listen to the free snip it that Audible offers, this way you can her the narrator. I find it amazing when people complain about Simon Vance or John Lee because of their British accent.....Please.

What did you like best about this story?

Looking at the Arthur legend from a female perspective, but not just any female, a female warrior, who eventually become his wife.

What does Anne Flosnik bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I enjoy Anne Flosnik and have no problems with her narrations, as a matter of fact many of us have favorite narrators and look for their name when a new book comes out. I have a list of about 20 that I really enjoy I guess it's a matter of having an ear for an accent. I

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Well it was kind of long but I finished in two days and really enjoyed it.

    Any additional comments?

Almost every one who reviewed this liked the story but complained about the narrator. If it's that bad and you think you'll never listen to it again contact Audible and see if you can get your credit back, or if you paid for it they will refund your credit card. People should talk more about content, or bad editing or distracting music. If you have a problem with narration maybe a recommendation would be good. I tried to listen to "50 Shades of Gray" using the free listen, It was ling finger nails on a chalk board to me. So I'll never listen to it on Audible. .
