Featuring New York Times best-selling authors Jim Butcher and Simon R. Green, and national best-selling authors Kat Richardson and Thomas E. Sniegoski, Mean Streets offers four novellas from the hottest names in contemporary paranormal suspense. Running the gamut from demons and werewolves to zombies and black magic, these whodunits crackle with otherworldly secrets, making for a noir collection with an extra set of fangs.

I am familiar with Jim Butcher and Simon Green, I have read most of what they have written, I enjoyed what they contributed. (not their best, but not their worst either) Kat Richardson's ghost story was interesting and had a real twist, It was good for a 2 1/2 hour listen. Thomas Sniegoski' is new to me, but I found this work very enjoyable and will be looking into checking out some of his other books. If you enjoy urban fantasy, these anthologies are a good way to find new authors. No not every story will knock your socks off but, being fair I have to say I really enjoyed 80% and I didn't hate the other 20%. Wish I could give this 4 1/2 stars.BTW If you have been listening to Jim Butcher "Dresden Files" and Simon Green "Nightside" on Audible, there is a different narrators, still I think they were done well. Nice way to find new authors and narrators.

If you could sum up The Big Book of Orgasms in three words, what would they be?

    Exciting, Stimulating, Different.

What did you like best about this story?

I usually enjoy all erotica, GAY, Straight, Kinky, BDSM, it is what stimulates the mind and gets people off. Erotica, like any other fiction is written to entertain and stimulate. (The reader doesn't have to love every story) However if you are an individual who enjoys your own sexuality, then you should be able to understand and enjoy anyone who expresses their desires no matter how different or strange, (consenting adults). Yes there is roll play, and play with toys and some homosexuality. These are stories about the Big O. How people get them and give them. I found every story a delight.

Have you listened to any of Rose Caraway’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I only heard Rose Caraway one other time and she is a wonderful narrator, even when talking from a man's point of view.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When you have so many stories I know I can't pick one. I found it well worth the cost for the over 8 hours of entertainment.

    Any additional comments?

I've listened to many of Rachel Kramer Bussel's anthologies. She knows how to pick stories that will work, I always look for books by Rachel Kramer Bussel, or Alison Tyler, Violet Blue, Delilah Devlin. Especially when putting together anthologies. They are also great writers, and ofter end up in many of these anthologies. GIVE US MORE.

What did you love best about Into the Storm?

Action never stopped from the start of this book to the very end. Larry Correia always develops his characters through a story, and you really get caught up in each personality.

What other book might you compare Into the Storm to and why?

Dirty Dozen.....Taking a group of total misfits and turning them into an elite group of fighters

What about Ray Porter’s performance did you like?

Ray Porter was fantastic, his voices and accents and emotions made this story even better.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I finished in one day, I wished I could have spent the whole day just listening....The beauty of this story is that it's not a continuing series. But it was totally enjoyable. In the true style of Larry Correia.

    Any additional comments?

Larry Correia has two series that I started listening to I hope the next books come out soon....I really love his work and have NEVER been disappointed. Well worth the credit

What did you love best about Black Arts?

Jane Yellowrock will go through a growth in her own being and learn more about who she is and her own powers as a "Skin Walker". This is one of the best in the series, and I've listened to every one of the books in this series...(they each get better)

What did you like best about this story?

When Jane realizes that she doesn't have to feel guilt for doing the things that are necessary to save lives. Yes she does have to kill, but she doesn't have to anguish about it. She and Beast recognize this.

What does Khristine Hvam bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Khristine Hvam is the voice of this series. She does a wonderful job with accents and emotions. of both men and women and even the children.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

When Jane thought Evan was going to die.

    Any additional comments?

I'm looking forward to the next book now that Jane is free from her binding To the Vampires.

Witch and day-walking demon Rachel Morgan knows magic - earth, ley line, even the forbidden demon magic - and that knowledge has saved her life more than once. But now something - or someone - is attacking Cincinnati and the Hollows, causing spells to backfire or go horribly wrong while living vampires attack humans and Inderlanders alike. The pressures build when the city is quarantined to contain the unreliable magic, and Rachel must stop the attacks before the undead vampire masters who keep the rest of the undead under control are lost and it becomes all-out supernatural war.

What made the experience of listening to The Undead Pool the most enjoyable?

Kim Harrison's Character development over the series, this book really is the turning point of many relationships and interactions between characters. Marguerite Gavin as always is the voice of every "Hollows" book. Each character's voice and emotion is done fantastically

What other book might you compare The Undead Pool to and why?

I can only compare to other books in this series. You just CAN'T read THIS book with out reading the whole series. If you read book one and like it I promise you every book will get better. Reminds me of "Dresden files" Each book just got better.

    Which scene was your favorite?

One with Nute, which really shows she may not be as crazy as everyone thinks she is. I found that really enjoyable. There were many others but saying so would be real spoilers,.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

YES, and I can't give it away because it would ruin the story for any one listening.

    Any additional comments?

I've loved this series from the start, and I'm so looking forward to the next book. I'm told it will be the last book in the series, I'm hoping not. But if it is I'm sure Ms Harrison will make it a real bang up occasion.

We're the D'Artigo sisters: savvy half-human, half-Fae ex-operatives for the Otherworld Intelligence Agency. My sister Camille is a wicked good witch with three gorgeous husbands. Delilah is a two-faced werecat and a Death Maiden. And me? I'm Menolly, a vampire married to a scorching hot werepuma. And right now, we're facing enemies on all sides. It's been a long and devastating week. Back in Otherworld, war has decimated the elfin city of Elqaneve, our father has gone missing, and Shadow Wing has managed to obtain another spirit seal.

What did you love best about Crimson Veil?

What I love best about every book in the series so far is that each book focuses on one particular sister, even though touching on all of them and all the characters they are involved with. Menolly seems to be coming to terms with who she is and accepting her place in the world after being turned into a vampire in a very horrific way. (with scars on her skin, and internal scars that she'll never forget) It seems in this book she has come to terms with what happened and now has evolved to carry on to help fight the war in OtherWorld

What other book might you compare Crimson Veil to and why?

Can't really compare, each one of the books in the series is different, like I said a focuses on a different sisters problem, but doesn't exclude the other in any one story.

Have you listened to any of Cassandra Campbell’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Cassandra Campbell is the voice of The Moon Sisters. I can't imagine any other narrator doing as good a job with voices of each character and the emotions

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I don't want to write any spoilers. so I'll leave it to those who wish to

    Any additional comments?

I'm looking forward to the next book in this series. So far I've not been disappointed.

Where does Concealed in Death rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

J.D. Rob (Nora Roberts) has found something to write about in every one of the "In Death" stories The only two books I found truly distressing were "New York to Dallas" and "Thankless in Death" (reason being the amount of horrible and gruesome descriptions of the crimes were very difficult for anyone who's ever experienced any brutality to themselves or family member) I couldn't finish those books.

Who was your favorite character and why?

All the characters and especially Dallas......and Mavis but all of them make the stories amazing

What does Susan Ericksen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I've heard Susan Ericksen narrate other books as well and for this series I don't think I could imagine anyone else doing the narrations as well She is the entire cast of characters. Go Susan.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

When telling a parent that their child who's been missing is dead, that just chokes me up, especially the way Ms Ericksen expresses emotions.

    Any additional comments?

Some of the "In Death" series I found hard to listen to because of the intense descriptions of brutality. (only about 4 books) But in every book there are always twists and turns, and they usually come up at the very end. Waiting for book # 39

Would you listen to Crossdressing again? Why?

Anthology, about cross-dressing. This is the first book I've seen about it. I've read stories in other anthologies that may have included one or two stories....maybe even forced cross dressing. but this was really great.....

What did you like best about this story?

A male and female narrator. Male for the male cross dressers and female for the female cross dressers....just make it so much more.

Which character – as performed by Lucy Malone and Sean Crisden – was your favorite?

Like I stated in the above it made for very hot stories.

    Any additional comments?

I wish there were more anthologies about cross dressing like this. It was very much worth listening and I've listened to more than once.

I love most Erotic writing. (especially when done well) BS/SM Male and Female Domination, gay and lesbian all kinky types of sexual encounters are exciting if done by some one who knows what they are writing about and how to draw you into their story. This collection did that.

Who was your favorite character and why?

This is an anthology so each story had it's own special moment of pleasure, and or surprise.

What about D. Andrews’s performance did you like?

He did a very nice job of expressing the point of the submissive and the dom's in these stories. Expressing all emotions and feeling very well.

Where does The Delicious Torment rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Alison Tyler's Second book in a series loosely based on her life. The first book "Dark Secret Love", was wonderful which leads you to this book. If you are not into the BDSM, or S&M Erotica genre then you may find this disturbing, however this is more of what 50 Shades of Gray SHOULD have been. Know one writes about the genre better than Ms Tyler, she lives the life and has the gift of words to express the true feelings of a submissive in a relationship. She is also able to express the Dominant's as well.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Samantha (Alison) she learns to who she is and is not afraid to express what she wants. Yes it is not what others would call a "NORMAL" relationship.... but that doesn't work for every one. As long as there are consenting adults who truly care about the feelings of each other. How love is expressed doesn't matter to any one except those in that relationship.....Ms Tyler truly helps you understand this about those who desire a BDSM relationship.

Have you listened to any of Melody Falcon’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I never heard her before however she expressed the emotions, conflicts and characters very well in this story.

    Any additional comments?

Alison Tyler is one of the top writers of erotica and BDSM S&M erotica. She lives the life style and is a true word smith. I have read many of her stories of all kinds and no matter what her topic in erotica she writes with emotion and knowledge. (sometime a laugh as well) Looking forward to the next book in this series.
