I bought this because it was on sale. I was truly surprise at how funny and enjoyable the story was and the characters were.
Professor Greenberg loves has a passion for music and you know this with every word he speaks, he also makes the information fun. I laughed out loud a few times as well. This is like taking a 36 hour college course. You can't sit down and listen to more than 4 chapters at a time, but you'll want to because of Professor Greenberg.
Couldn't do it.
This is a wonderful course, however like any college course you really don't want to take it again. One listen is more than enough to teach you quite a bit about ancient to modern music and Professor Greenberg makes it easy to get the knowledge.
Absolutely, first some of the BEST narrators that Audible has narrated the stories in this book. Each one is only about 3 to 7 minuets long tops.
Since there are "Fifty Stories" from various Famous books From The Three Musketeers, to Pillars of the Earth. There were several Laugh out loud moments for me One of which was "The Picture of Dorian Gray" & "Fifty Shads of Gray" (which is the last story)
I can't imagine getting the same experience from reading when you have some of the greatest narrators reading these stories...One of the best parts if you've listened to Pillars of the Earth, you know that John Lee narrates that, he also narrates the small spoof in this book. It is perfect.
Nothing in this book made me cry, but I did have some really good laugh out loud moments that you just can't get by reading. A good narrator can enhance a moment in a story, and really help you visualize the moment. Simon Vance, Roslyn Landor, John Lee and many others made this collection really enjoyable. I listened to in one day.
I would love to see more collections like this, with great narrators. I know I'll listen to this again because I enjoyed so much. Some books should only be on Audio, this is one of them. Not EVERY story was great, but out of the 50 I'd say 40 were really 4-5 star.
I've read just about every Heinlein book that was ever written. I read this MANY years ago. It is Heinlein's only true Fantasy. .
Well the hero was mature for his age, but not self conscious. You also have to realize the story was supposed to have been taking place around the time of the Vietnam conflict. So the What is considered PC now was not so then. How ever the story if you over look that one small thing again it is Fantasy so it takes you to places that may be more like the way we see things now that we did then.
Bronson Pinchot is one of the best narrators that Audible has. I've listened to him narrate about 5 different books. Each of them having many characters from women to gruff monsters, Mr Pinchot does it all with class. Also expressing emotion as well.
I was trying to but I fell asleep and had to go back about 9 chapters. If you are a Heinlein fan and never read this book give it a shot. I was so glad I got this because Bronson Pinchot did a 5 star job of narration.
I think you should get Mr Pinchot to narrate more books.
Amanda Ronconi is fantastic with voices and emotions. Molly Harper always makes me laugh out loud
There were many but when Gigi gets home and Iris is afraid to confront her.....and has all her pals there to make sure nothing happens....It's a real Halfmoon Hallow moment.
As usual She is fantastic in this series. I've heard her doing other series as well and she's a fantastic narrator.
I wouldn't bother, I love these audio books and they're better than going to a movie.
Can't wait for the next Halfmoon Hollow book to come out. Molly Harper you're just fantastic.
In the series I thought it was the best so far. explained a lot an some of the characters die....I won't give it away.
I do like the steamy sex in the other books but this one stuck pretty much to getting the job done. lots of action and mystery.
Loved them all she's great with voices and has a way with emotions too.
Because there was so much action I really wanted to finish in one sitting....couldn't do though
Looking forward to the next book in series.
Yes, most of these stories were so well written and told stories of love that can be understood by anyone (homosexual or heterosexual) we're all entitled to love and the feelings compel us to do things that are sometimes very silly, and at other times very noble. .
There were many since this is an anthology of 22 stories. I did have some I enjoyed more than others but each had it's moments.
Alexandra Wilde was wonderful with emotions and voices. She's also great at expressing passion and love.
All the stories were good but my favorites which I've already listened to more than once are The Usual, Last Call, In Flight, Eyes, Hyde, Sand Castle Queen, Cuts, Absinthe, In Your Pocket, The Traveler, Sugar and Snow, Melange, Music on the Wind. If you've ever been in love and enjoy hearing about love from more than one angle......this is a very nice collection.
Never read the print version
I can only compare to other anthologies, so I'd say Best Lesbian Erotica 2009 and 2007
Yes she's very good and can express erotic feelings and passion
Can't do an anthology
There are always stories that stand out and in this book I really enjoyed In the Sauna, Love Ties, Amy's First Lesson,Flick Chicks,The Kitchen Light, Pin Up, Brush Strokes, From the Halls of Montezuma,Tasting Chantal. These were my favorites, but the others were pretty good.
Never read printed version. Alison Tyler is a great writer and editor of erotica, I have read many of her stories and many of her anthologies. I have to say this was really enjoyable. A little bit of everything from Spanking, BD/SM, Gay, Lesbian, Just a taste of many different flavors. I enjoy that kind of thing. also in an anthology you get to hear new authors. I found a few new ones I'll be watching for.
Gotta Have It 69 stories also anthology by Alison Tyler. Very enjoyable
Quite good, gave the emotions and feeling of passion and sometimes even fear, that causes people to be aroused. She pull it off rather well I find it's hard for women to do mens voices but if you can get into the story it usually doesn't make that much of a difference
When you have such a mix of stories. You'll always have a few you like better than others.
For me it was well worth the cost, I know I'll listen to again because of the enjoyment of the stories
Alison Tyler who is one of the best writers and editors of erotica, out there. Twenty stories, I'd say 17 are really great, the other three are really good. The narrations were fantastic, most of the narrators have done erotica before so they know how to pull off the genre.
All the narrators were very good at the job they were doing. Quite believable in character and emotions.
When you talk about an anthology there are many stories that I can say moved me.:)
Almost every Alison Tyler anthology I've read or listened to was exceptional. I recommend this if BD/SM is your cup of ....
If you enjoy lesbian erotica and VAMPIRE stories this book is wonderful. The authors really knew how to BEND their stories around and make them work. Each story was very different than the one before, and very imaginative. I was very impressed with this audio book
Only 20 stories and each one was a gem like precious stones different and enjoyable
Not all vampires want to suck........:)
I truly enjoyed the genre by these writers. So imaginative and some funny, some romantic, some scary. Well worth the listen.
