For millennia, fresh olive oil has been a necessity - for food, medicine, beauty, and religion. Today's researchers continue to confirm the remarkable, life-giving properties of true extra-virgin, and "extra-virgin Italian" has become the highest standard of quality. But what if this symbol of purity has become deeply corrupt?

Where does Extra Virginity rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It is one of my favorites

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

find out what you've really been eating

    Any additional comments?

This is just a delightful book, with great narration and a fascinating story. I decided to go out and buy an olive oil that was higher grade than my usual grocery store brand oil, and found that there is a significant difference in the taste, color and texture in a better olive oil. Its nice to read a book and get a sense for what the author is trying to explain in your own home. Overall 5-stars!

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

Would you listen to Gone Girl again? Why?

It was 18 hours...i would not listen to it again since it was so long.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Amy, she is a crazy temptress.

What about Julia Whelan and Kirby Heyborne ’s performance did you like?

I appreciated their impression of each other and the other characters, always distinct voices but not unbelievable.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

no. take your time...it took me 6 days to get through it.

    Any additional comments?

A very elegant and carefully planned love and hate story. It was amazing.

At least one-third of the people we know are introverts. They are the ones who prefer listening to speaking, reading to partying; who innovate and create but dislike self-promotion; who favor working on their own over brainstorming in teams. Although they are often labeled "quiet," it is to introverts that we owe many of the great contributions to society--from van Gogh’s sunflowers to the invention of the personal computer.

What did you love best about Quiet?

how the author provided a balanced insight into the introverted mind using both her own observations and experiences combined with scientific literature.

What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?

That working alone has proven to be more effective than working in groups at mastering a topic. Ive found this to be true in my own life, and make a point of giving myself time to digest information.
