It's Christmas Eve in Santa Fe, but among the revelers on Canyon Road, a decidedly unholy scene is taking place. A desperate man, dressed all in black, feverishly seeks refuge for himself and the squirming bundle he holds tightly against his chest. Agent Paul Kagan's bundle is a baby who has the power to change the course of global events. His pursuers are his former colleagues -- members of the Russian mafia who will stop at nothing to accomplish their mission.

I usually really enjoy Davids books and this one is a good one. However I was a little turned off by his writing a Chrismas novel and then including a made up "spy's version" of the Christmas story. What he describes and "fact" in the story could be very misleading to new believers. Other than that, the story was a good one and I would like to see the main characters in a follow up book.

Lee Iacocca believes that leaders are made in times of crisis - such as today. In Where Have All the Leaders Gone? he offers his no-nonsense, straight-up assessments of the American politicians most likely to run for president in 2008. He also shares his lessons learned, and issues a call to action to summon Americans back to their roots in hard work, common sense, integrity, generosity, and optimism. Where have all the leaders gone? Lee Iacocca has the answer.

I was a huge fan of Lee in the 70's and respected his opinions. I was looking forward to this book but was surprised to find that he has become a talking head for people like Michael Moore, John Kerry, John Murtha and Moveon.org. Very dissapointing.

Clare and Henry have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was thirty-six. They were married when Clare was twenty-three and Henry was thirty-one. Impossible but true, because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity from his life, past and future.

Very good book that was hard to put down. Can't wait for her 2nd novel.
