"A Must-Read for every thinkiing American"
Gore pulls no punches. He outlines why our society is faced with the curent loss of civil liberties and prestige in the world. He presents a solid case for the lack of citizen involvement and lays out suggestions and ideas that we all need to consider to take control of our democracy back from the power-money elite that are stripping our nation of its prestige, wealth, civil liberties and democracy. Well read and highly recommended.
"Disappointing and disjointed"
I have not read a Patterson novel since Beachouse. I had hoped he had solved the problem of multiple writer but he has not.
The first four chapters were fairly good but, in chapter five it falls apart and rambles. The only words I can think of to describe it are disjointed and boring.
The premise was good and the setup was good but the writing disappoints.
Most cheap romance novels are better written.
"One of the best new novels in recent years"
NcEwan has crafted a compelling and tightly woven novel of two lives that are changed by one night and the things not said. To say much more about the story could spoil it for the next reader. I found it difficult to stop listening to it. A perfect audio book for a long car trip when you can listen nonstop. As a literary work this will remain a significant work of this century. The author reads this shot novel with a level of feeling and drama that would be difficult for anyone else to match. Thoroughly enjoyable.
"Well Written and Balanced."
Excellent and well balanced! I find that Ms. Kelly has been careful to research and verify her material and appears to have done a very good job of reporting. Where the record is not clear, she appears to give both sides of the issue and is not afraid to state that there are questions on a particular point. I find the book to be insightful and feel I have gained in my understanding of the Bush family. I recommend this book to both those who support and those who oppose the Bushes.
"An outstanding history of our time!"
President Clinton tells a story of a generation not just his own history. As a contemporary of his, I found myself looking at the history I have lived through in a new, more insightful way. The book in important for anyone who wants to understand the dynamics of our time and the politics of hate and division that are currently overshadowing our lives. I am truly thankful to have the opportunity to read this book.
"Petty!"
If you can get past the pettiness and jealousy of Deutschman , there is a lot of good information in this audio book. The story of Jobs? career is an interesting story of american ingenuity and survival. Unfortunately, like most vindictive tomes, this is a sad portrait of Deutschman ?s own shortcomings.
