"Delightful Read"
J.M. Barrie + Jim Dale equals a truly delightful read. The story of Peter Pan is one for children and adults alike. The way Jim Dale read it brought the story even more to life and it left me wanting more. The way Barrie included himself as a character in this book is so fun and an enjoyable way to tell a story!
"I'm a Castle Fan but Didn't Love the Book"
Although I am a Castle fan the book was just okay to me. It felt too similar to the show (I guess that's what I should have expected.) But save your money and just purchase another episode of Castle.
"A Tender Story that Needs to be Read Over and Over"
A Little Prince is a wonderful story of a young boy who finds himself on earth. It is a beautiful reminder to adults about what is more important in life. The reader was wonderful and I am aiming to review this story once a month for the message shared is essential.
"Makes Me Think Twice About Eating Out"
If you want a reason to stop eating at chain restaurants, this is it! Well written, well read book about all the things restaurants do to make us eat more and come back. Whether you like it or not, it will change the way you view food.
"Completely Delightful"
A quick and delightful read. It was one that can be listened to several times because of the simple yet entertaining stories told.
"Eye-Opening"
I really enjoyed this introduction to reading body language. I was worried that it would review things that would be common sense knowledge about body language (since I have seen every episode of Lie to Me, I felt somewhat knowledgeable, haha) but Navarro goes above and beyond the basics of body language.
He talks about what part of our body is the most honest and the answer is quite surprising. Even though he is a former FBI agent, he wants people to know basic body language to learn to help make people feel more comfortable in our presence.
All in all an interesting read with pictures included. Bonus!
"Enthralling!"
Jim Dale is a personal hero of mine which is why I originally downloaded this audiobook. Not only did I love his style of reading, but the story was enchanting. I found myself eager to finish it and have continually thought about it since.
There are some gaps in the story line, but I would say that adds to the "dream-likeness" of the story.
Truly an enjoyable read.
